In Masaba
Another day and it was another fresh off the runway outfit for Ms. Kapoor. Love the contrast of the printed blouse with the green. Lust the Suhani Pittie earrings.
P.S. Sonam was styled by Rhea Kapoor and Tanya Ghavri.

Adore the look head to toe, but Sonam’s make-up team needs to figure out what works for her skin.
second that. terrible make-up
under eye moisturizer would have worked wonders here/or a creamier concealer. Believe me I have the same issues with the dry under eye area, its a pain!! Love the sari.. I want!!
But even moisturizer cant hide eye bags can it? 🙂
Spot on! Her hair, clothes and accessories are to die for on most occasions..the make up is way too heavy for a 20 something…she needs to discover the benefits of soft, dewy, barely there make up!
yup, my first thought!!
its very apparent that her makeup artist still hasn’t found a way to find a suitable concealer for sonam
The saree is ok. I love the print on the blouse, her earrings and the cuff.
Knee up this look is fab. But the starking contrast of the black with the rest of the outfit is disturbing.
I agree!
she looks like a little girl playing dress up. uncoordinated and sloppy. from hair to clutch.
I cudnt agree more on this!
Exactly! Major fail.
Yes! I was trying to think of a way to describe it… theres nothing wrong as such… but it is very child like. Unintentionally at that.x
Agreed, also the make up ages her. Never seen undereye bags look so bad on someone that young
EXACTLY MY THOUGHT 😉
Ditto! Her stance in the second pic attest her awkwardness.
Exactly what I was thinking! And not just here – most of Sonam’s looks. She certainly has the “fashionista” reputation – but how much of *her* are we seeing as opposed to a stylist/consultant’s vision and fashion mag rehashes? Most of the time she just looks like how Priya has described her – sloppy and um…unfinished and then the really bad make up…(and this despite the fact that I’m sure fashion is 100% on her mind all the time!) I don’t get it.
Yes, I dig her smile and poise and confidence…I just don’t see any personality…
I know P&P dig almost every look of Sonam’s and they usually are spot on with their other comments so am I missing something here…Well call me fashion backward if you will but I just don’t get the Sonam is a fashion icon thing at all! 🙂
i agree with “just me” 🙂
Funny how all her looks strike me like that
I love the contrasting blouse with the saree. She looks nice. Liking the cuff a lot.
ooooohhh she’s bringing back the sari! lovin it!
! Has it ever been gone!? The most flattering and beautiful garment and I think many celebs young and old (not to mention us aam janta waale) have been bringing back the sari for ages now 🙂
You were probably referring to her last look with the saree?
Sonam+masaba.. You obviously had to love it..
And I can’t recall one look where I liked Sonam in Masaba.. Infact I hated it every time..
ppl r probably going 2 hate cuz they r not brave enough 2 wear this but she luks g8. shes not afraid 2 wear anything. i love that about her. i like everything but the hair.
make-up doesn’t work at all
Omg! I love it! Sonam’s style is definitely growing on me! Undoubtly, Sonam is a fashionista!
love love love head to toe… esp. that cuff and the earring!!
agree with priya. like the model wearing the saree at the fashion show!
Those earrings and the bracelet, while good on their own, look too over the top with the contrasting black in the saree and the printed blouse look too over the top. Whiel I like the idea behind her hair and make up the execution is bad. The hair looks like it has way too many products in it and the make-up just looks cakey and horrible.
It’s great to see Sonam’s range of experiments with her clothes. That being said, I like her clothes in this one but the hair/makeup not so much.
I know I am going to sound like a noob here but I reside in North America and I have been trying very hard to find Masaba sarees online from purchase. Can someone help me out?

thanks PnP for the site. Love it when sites and open with prices ! Cant wait to own of her quirky creations.
love love love this look!!!!! sona is bringing saeei back into fashion and how!
i stopped viewin any sonam posts here, since these gals are so biased. but she surprised me yet again. the hair, those cute earrings, so adorable. the sari, blouse..everything works.
love the blouse! quirky and fun! and the Saree is Wthey material. I dont know why you people go gaga abt anything this girl wears. Undeniably she wears most of the outfils well but at times it just doesn’t work.
The model wears it better than Sonam. And her hair and make-up are awful. Wish Sonam would stop trying to kill the saree.
It’s the makeup that’s the culprit or sonam could hv done it again. Nice saree with a super smart blouse…… N to die for accessories….. Looooved the cuff she’ wearing. I feel the saree is bit shabbily draped n She looks tired in the pic.
That’s the most awful looking sari I’ve seen.
Rhea Kapoor can barely style herself. Might be a good idea to first work on her own look before styling her sister. As for Sonam’s look, as much as I think she’s a pretty girl, and as much as I am fan of the ‘Indian’ look, this is definitely not working. A WTHey for me.
she can carry off this saree as she has the height, that black border would look terrible on a short person as it cuts the body in two at a weird place. This is a lovely saree from Masaba however, a change from the usual prints she does – she makes the saree look cool again which can only be a good thing. I’ve read on other sites how ‘terrible’ Sonams makeup is here but I think it looks fine. With the HD cameras used these days and such a closeup shot I doubt anyone would be looking so hot but Sonam still looks great.
What is there not to like ? The sari and jewellery are fabulous , the clutch complements the sari perfectly, her hair and make up is great and above all Sonam carries it all perfectly and effortlessly!! Really Beautiful…
It’s like they are all fighting for attention – the eyeliner, the loud blush, the earrings, the cuff, the green portion of the saree.
way too dressed up for the outdoor casual event…
I’m sorry but most often than not, Sonam comes off looking comical. The sari looks much better on the model; she makes it look chic whilst Sonam just looks odd. The hair and earrings are unnecessary.
Not liking the close-up shot here (though the earrings are delish). But everything else, I do.
somehow the hairstyle spoils the entire look………the model looks dapper
She looks fabulous! Love the green, the blouse and those earrings..maybe the makeup is a little off, but I don’t care, she looks amazing!
Thislook is gorgeous…the sari is reversing.
I meant, the sari is refreshing.
ohhhh.. this is so beautiful
ooh..lusting over the earrings..very interesting print on the blouse.. the saree itself tho looks a bit weird.. the clutch & cuff seems unnecessary
At first glance I thought it was Soha Ali Khan(thanks to the hairstyle) then I saw the outfit and went …wow Soha finally got a stylisht and then I went oh wait a min that’s Sonam, that explains the great outfit.
mummy’s sari, dadima’s blouse, remove the clutch and the earrings, everything falls out of place
Eeeks .. the black was too much
Girls, can you ID the Cuff on her arm?
I like it
What a hideous outfit
the bottom half looks VERY awkward with the green. Looks like a newbie in fashion school decided to put random colors together without taking under consideration if they will actually work together or not.
As much as i love quirky blouse and jewellery…Sloppy draping pretty much killed it for me. Over accesorizing didnt help either.
Love the cuff……..can anybody identify the brand.
The cuffs are Suhani Pittie too.
I AM SHOCKED AT ALL YOU PEOPLES TASTE. WHATS WITH YOU HIGH HEEL? ITS HIGH HELL FOR SONAM.
SHE LOOKS LIKE A CLOWN GONE WRONG.
Please dont think that she has been tagged best dress(since nothing else to her career) so all her looks become statement.
This is just god-awful UGLY.
Love it..but there is a BUT….am I the only one who thinks she needs to stop losing weight? She looks unwell and tired
BUT..what makes you think its because of weight loss? 😀
Umm…looks like she’s channeling her inner Soha Ali Khan with that hair-do! And I just don’t get that saree–the color contrast is a bit much. And is that black velvet at the bottom? Gosh, when did velvet sarees become high-fashion?!
The sari is plain horrid!
You know when someone is redefining fashion when they get 67 comments hate it or love it have to admit it has a reaction, makes you sit up and look, think question.. Personally I thnk its super! the whole look , the earrings.. agree the black doesnt go with the green and personally masabas not my style.. but this is a STyle Statement.. it exudes personality and the willingness to break the system i dont know how people are saying she does not have personality.. she does not fit into pre conceived category that exists shes making her own category probably thats why you feel she lacks personality but trust meeeee PERSONALITY doesnt get bigger than this..
Super like your post! I just don’t understand people’s comments sometimes!
