Sonam attended the Elie Saab, Valentino and Jean Paul Gaultier show at Paris Fashion Week last week wearing creations by the designers.
At first glance, all of the outfits looked striking, especially if you saw the pics on Instagram first. But, as always, the real pics from the events revealed the small missteps. In the case of the Elie Saab pleated gown, the bronzer felt a bit heavy handed. I wasn’t a fan of the jewellery pick in the Valentino.
As for the Jean Paul Gaultier, it was my favorite of the three but the more I look at the sari-inspired suit, the finishing of the suit felt way off. I felt it more so after seeing the runway version which looked so much more polished.

I like the Jean Paul Gautier look quite a lot, especially the coat. But boy! the jewelry she wore with green dress must have hurt. I believe it’s her sister’s new jewellery collection, Meh
The one time Sonam doesn’t look like a clown draped in abysmal designs & you start nitpicking!

The jewellery with the Valentino goes perfectly & is something different, I’m all in. Should’ve lost the shawl.
I’ll grant you the comments on the Jean Paul – it does truly look unfinished.
Sonam has very dark circles which she never hides but have shown the world and I do respect that

She’s a brand ambassador for a make up brand – I don’t agree with your sentiment one bit.
Even a person like me who requires 12 attempts and multiple smudges to get her eyeliner straight (not even talking cat-eye here) can cover dark circles (cue: red lipstick trick!)

She looks superb in all despite incoherent designs.. also there’s some make up issues or just bad pics.
There is a brand called AND, owned by Anita Dongre. One can find this green layered kind of dress in almost every colour under the brand. Lol
I love that she is carrying a Kashmiri shawl. All the jewellery is lovely and the black and green outfits are both elegant. I’m not so happy with the white outfit. It looks so severe.
Loved her! In all three. Makeup has never been her team’s strong suit. But she served some lovely looks here. Loved the jewels!

That face is to die for …but her makeup( foundation specifically)ruins everything along with those ugly jewellery…hope these celebs focus on what looks good on them …rathen then promoting a brand or a product

Valentino one seems nice although nothing designer about it. Elie Saab is a lovely color but there is always an abnormal element in her outfits like that neckpiece. Black dress is not so great but since she is tall she makes it work.
All her looks are like costumes. She tries too hard and it shows.

I LOOOOVE the makeup and styling! Going to recreate the make up tomorrow. For once I adore her looks! Also me thinks she is pregnant 😉 going by the outfits she has been wearing of late.

Sonam looks fantastic in the JPG outfit, very reminiscent of the earlier Sonam. The other two outfits though are quite meh though I like the jewellery pairing.
I love the styling of the Gautier suit. My guess is that the neckpiece is designed by her mother Sunita Kapoor. Honestly speaking, her mother’s aesthetic sense is way better than Rhea’s. Sonam wore her mom’s choker in Cannes with an Anamika Khanna ensemble and it was breathtaking.
The OTT jewelry with all three looks – totally unnecessary. Her make up looks specially bad in the outfit by Elie Saab.
In total love with green one and specially that added jewelry. Full marks for carrying Kashmiri shawl with that white. Not sure about JPG, not that edgy on Sonam.
When the 4th and the 5th pics are compared side by side feels like the pics were taken years apart. what a difference makeup can do!!
