At the trailer launch of The Zoya Factor, leading lady Sonam was seen in a custom Georges Hobeika gown paired with earrings from Misho and gold pumps from Arcosanti. I may not like the scarf sleeve design but overall, I like that she showed restrain here. This was a relatively simple outing on her part. And I say that because right after this event she dialed it up in a look from Dice Kayek. Way way up. See inside.

She looks ridiculous in the white outfit but are we not going to talk about Sonam’s hypocrisy as a vegan? Because let’s get it straight. She and her stylist sister have a major Instagram influence.
Sonam screams (correctly) about animal abuse, but goes on to promote (deplorably) exotic skin leather bags in most, if not all of her outfits. I understand if she was using leather from her pre-vegan days and I’d even give her a pass (with a huge side-eye) if she bought second hand leather. But nope, she is out here promoting, influencing, creating demand for animal products with her choice of handbags (and probably shoes too). Even if she is lent these bags by designers, as an outspoken vegan she is 100% responsible for turning them down. Her stance reeks of hypocrisy and should be addressed, questioned, and critiqued.
I see where you’re coming from but it’s impossible to ethical about ever single choice- what she eats, what she wears, what vehicles she drives etc
I agree that She’s a celebrity so she should be conscious about what she posts (referring to animal abuse but also choosing exotic leather – if she did!) her words ring farther and harder.
At the same time she’s also a human and we can understand that ever single choice is impossible to make in ethical terms.
Hopefully she will see this and it could be a reminder to choose wiser, post wiser too!!! Hehe
Not using leather accessories is the easiest choices to make as a vegan.

There have been numerous occasions where Sonam has sported such super tight gowns. I really want to know what kind of inner wear/bra she wears which literally squeezes her breasts n looks painful!
I see your point but with her resources and means, she literally has zero excuse to promote exotic leather. Her handbag is not a necessity- it’s a $$$ luxury which she has *chosen* to endorse. There are no situations, even hypothetical ones, where she would have been at a loss for a handbag to carry and *had* to resort to this one. This is ignorance with a good old serving of hypocrisy, plain and simple. With her influence and privilege, comes enormous responsibility and there’s no getting around that.
Dude, the orange outfit is TERRIBLE. I hate that her torso looks the way it is and her chest is squeezed so tight…no one should sport cleavage starting from the collar bones!
Unpopular as it might be, I like her in the white dress. She always dials it way up or dresses very shabbily. So given all that, i like her in the white dress..she looks good.
Now is it event appropriate? IS she a hypocrite for promoting super pricey couture leather while calling herself “vegan”? Absolutely. But I don’t expect anything else from her.

I love how Sonam gets a pass for dressing hideously by P&P! The gown is completely ill-fitting and she looks like a sausage stuffed into its encasing!!! The white outfit may have worked better with a different pair of bottoms.

P&P….the pictures that were taken outside, in the sunlight at the same event by paps look ethereal along with the red color….I wish you guys had posted those…my understanding this gown is made to be worn outside where sun makes the red literally burn like fire….not too mention her makeup looks flawless there. But I agree….indoor….with the white light….it makes this look underwhelming….love the dramatic white after this though.

Oh I just came to ask if she is in Mumbai and if this is in fact September! If I didn’t have access to any calendar and I looked at her, I would think it was almost time for Xmas and that she was in New York or Paris!

How come you never mention the obvious poor fit on Sonam??!!! On other ladies even the slightest crease in the dress is pointed out… That bustline is a disaster… makes the white dress seem better.
P&P’s obvious bias towards Sonam right from the start needs to be called out and here I am calling it out aloud!! Both the looks are plain ridiculous & don’t even get me started on the hypocrisy…these airhead celebs should really stop their PR overdrive pertaining to issues and stick to what they do best, pose and pout. Cmon! They have come a long way from that bias! Earlier, they would have raved about these looks as being gold standard of fashion! As have many others on this site! You only need to look at Sonam posts from 4 years ago! I don’t think she used to dress any different so it confuses me when people mourn the loss of her fashion mojo! If she was stylish then, she is still stylist now and vice Versa! Rant over 🙂

Tbh I really liked that white dress she is wearing. I cannot imagine any Bollywood celebrity wearing this. I guess she is killing in it.

Coming after couple of years and nothing has changed. Same defensiveness and biased opinion on Sonam’s abysmal wannabe fashion while others are ripped apart for minimal slip.
As usual Sonam looks hot?. That white dress with those red boots are ?. But I feel this white dress is meant to be worn in colder climate/ countries. Just in the name of fashion she wears these.
