In Anamika Khanna

Sonam attended the Filmfare Awards on Friday wearing her signature look, an Anamika Khanna lehenga and a statement piece of jewellery which in this case was an emerald necklace from Heeramaneck and Son.

Ms. Kapoor has pretty much nailed this look and while she did look good, we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention that the bronzer seemed a bit heavy handed here.

  1. Lord have mercy!
From when did Sonam have a signature style?
Nailed it? Where did she nail it?
How many kgs of makeup do you use per month Sonam?

    • Lol. Each sentence loaded with veritable sarcasm pierced through Sonam’s heart 😛 But really.. she has no signature style, she never really ‘nails’ the look for me and uses so much of wall-putty upon her face to end up looking ghastly and still she is.. all hail the fashionista, sonam kapoor.

  2. What?? First of all it’s so not red carpet worthy. Especially not for Filmfare! So matronly. She’s giving Krishna Raj fierce competition. The whole retro hair looks limp and funny. I look like that after applying egg-white on my hair. Under-eye make up as usual poorly done. Loreal– please provide this woman a concealer suitable for her complexion. Squished boob look continues.

  3. I think finally Sonam has created a signature style. Anamika Khanna. Check. Boob show. Check. Statement jewellery. Check. Patchy undereye concealer. Check.

  4. Love her necklace. Waist up she looks good, but the skirt is just horrible, too puffy, too long. What happened to Sonam in a classic LBD and statement jewelry? please, no more Anamika khanna.

  5. This looks is a bit too mature for her. She needs to do some more youthful colorful looks..last year’s Anamika at the same awards was young and fresh.

  6. Horrible and not at all suitable for the red carpet ! Why on earth would she want to wear something like this to an award function ? Sonam thinks by wearing anything anamika she will attract attention but sorry Sonam we are not blind !

  7. Sonam really !! The patchy eye makeup with hedious outfit, who calls this outfit designer one. Dump Anamika khanna please, makes her look like alien in brigade of normal people present at event. She needs mirror,a good critic before she steps out of her home, high street labels(girl opt for online shopping instead,if you can’t have good stylist), makeup artist. Its sad to see she makes every appearance now a days just to get bashed, tarnushing her fashionista image.

  8. I actually like most of Sonam’s Anamika Khanna outfits. With this one though, I wish she had not worn a necklace.

Of late I feel Sonam should edit one aspect of her look before stepping out.

She is so attractive in simple and natural looks. By this I do not mean a blue hospital gown with a random black hat and slippers, BTW…

  9. I have patchy skin under my eyes, but I am terrified of using under-eye makeup- only because of Sonam. Ghastly! Truly terrible.

The less said about pretentious tailors like Anamika Khanna the better.

    • Sadly, I need to agree. That’s quite bizzare that being a major make-up brand’s face she can’t get the under-eye concealer+foundation combination right. Well, that’s for us as customers to get the hint and avoid a certain brand, isn’t it?

      • I am pretty sure that celebs don’t really use the products they endorse. Sonam must have used some high end product. It’s pointless to drag the poor brand. The makeup artist is at fault here

  10. Okay with the necklace, not a fan of the outfit at all. All that gauze and whatsit. And that ridiculous makeup job, especially under eye.. Have mercy! No!

  11. I am very surprised that Sonam chose this look for the Filmfares. I am not a fan of the lehenga at all in the first place. I understand she likes retro – but this look, along with that hairstyle (shudder!) is aging her beyond her years. The less said about the make up, the better. I kind of feel bad for her now – she has fallen prey to her own fashionista tag.

Sonam should go home, wash her face off all make up, put on jeans and a tank and attend an event. That might start her fashion catharsis. And it would be sooo refreshing to see her that way. She needs a complete make-over or rather make-under!

  12. What on earth is she wearing? I guess Anamika borrowed heavily from Krishna Kapoor ‘s closet and stitched up this monstrosity. You would think that after so many fails Sonam would figure out the correct make up technique. But no, she keeps appearing with a painted on face.
I am mortified of using a concealer now.

  13. whoa, these comments are vicious.

I will say that some of Sonam’s looks at Filmfare Awards have been her best (Previous years Anamika and another year the vintage Chanel come to mind instantly) so in comparision to that, yes this fails a little.

And it is odd that her long standing make up artist and her have not yet worked out what concealer/foundation suits under the inevitable harsh lighting.

But some of these comments are reprehensible.

  14. Not a fan of the makeup and hair…but the lehenga isn’t so bad. Astonishing comments, it’s one thing to give constructive criticism, but to be spiteful as well, is rather sad.

    • If Sonam isn’t hailed as a fashionista and not given so much importance and treated equally with other starlets, then these negative comments will stop. Until then it continues. I can guarantee that every commenter posted here is a good person and not a bad person. We can’t judge people based on their comments. Faulting others will automatically boomerang to our credibility.
