While in Jaipur, Sonam gave us two very different looks first doing different shades of pink in Dior and then doing a classic black and white look in an Elie Saab suit.

Barring those satin pumps, loved the Dior look. It was super cute and ultra feminine. The Saab look was nice but I would’ve preferred a stiff turtle neck vs the one that she had on. And even with the bold red lip, her eyes still looked tired which made the overall look feel a bit dull.

Which of the two looks did you like more?

  1. Even a die-hard fashionista like Sonam seems to be getting jaded with these “movie promotion looks”. It was a novel idea during her earlier movies like Aisha. Now all this forced dressing up in designer brands has become so jaded. She needs to try something different now. I do like the pink look but the second one is so boring. Seen her in these so many times before.

  2. I am very curious if she actually pays money for the clothes she is wearing or are those borrowed? If she does pays for them, then her wardrobe is worth more than some people’s houses. Those are some very expensive brands she is wearing. Must be nice to be Sonam!

  3. The first look is something she has done many times before. I thought the 2nd look was for a book launch at the Jaipur Literature Festival, in which case, it was event appropriate although she does look a bit tired.

  4. Isn’t the Dior look WAY over the top for a promotion? Looks much more Premeire or Red Carpet appropriate to me
I much prefer simpler and interesting dressing for these promotions that appear to happen in every city in the country
If you use these big looks even for the little events, the impact of them is totally lost

  5. Her promotion appearances …have become ‘lets play dress up sessions’ and get more coverage than the movie itself. I get these events may be a advertisement for the clothes/bling/shoes on display by whoever is lending it . Sadly all the over the top looks have lost all its initial novelty and ingenuity, as stated by others above. She does look tired in the book event and no amount of designer labels can sadly mask that.

  6. She looks like an Audrey Hepburn caricature. And what do all these outfits have to do with a film called ” Dolly Ki doli” ? Like others have pointed out the whole purpose of these try too hard designer outfits is to say ” hey look at me. I am a fashionista!” And absolutely nothing to do with her work as an actress .

  7. Sonam is a bonafide fashionista though. 🙂 I am occasionally amused by looks that aren’t weather appropriate, but I quite enjoy her dressing up.

  8. I think she needs a break. Away from media and events. Its become a bit of overexposure at this point.
At this point i would like to see her in fitted denims and a white shirt. something simple and elegant.
