Ms. Kapoor has been quite busy promoting Bewakoofiyan and giving us many different looks while at it. Of all the looks you see, got a favorite? We may not have a clear favorite (since almost all were so good) but we do have a least favorite… The Bodice bermuda shorts and blazer look wasn’t quite working.

  1. Whoever is taking Sonam’s pictures need to have better phone with a better camera or bother to actually take pictures with a real camera or stop misusing filters. Or better still stop putting these low quality ones on the internet. Can’t get past it.
I am glad P&P decided to sum them up in 1 post.

  2. Is her movie promo tour sponsored by Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop? I’ve purchased similar items by some of the designers listed above from Pernia’s and I notice that the quality of clothing in actuality is so bad – how does it look passable/good on Sonam under all those lights?

    • I’ve noticed this myself – I haven’t bought anything from Pernia’s, but if you’re buying Indian designer clothes ( specially Western stuff like dresses or skirts ) be very vigilant about the sizing and the fabric. There’s a lot of variation, even in a single collection by one designer. Based on observation alone, Sabyasachi is one person whose stock is always uniform in quality ( but then, how many clothes can a normal person buy from Sabya). Rahul Mishra and Nikhil Thampi are the other designers who are OK, again as far as my experience goes.

      • I bought a kurti, a pair of palazzo pants and a necklace by Outhouse…and I’m sad to say that I regret buying all of them. For the money being charged for these “Designer” pieces, they should be manufactured with quality in mind, not just design. I’m normally a size 6-8, and when I purchased those sizes, they were way too small! The worst part is, Pernia’s has a horrible refund policy so I couldn’t get my money back. If something doesn’t fit, they might give you store credit but you won’t get your money back. Hardly fair considering almost every other reputed e-tailer does the same. Buying online is a risk; we need to try stuff on to really decide.
(Maybe they’ve since changed their policy – I no longer am a patron, so I have no clue.)
I’ve never purchased Sabya – I feel like it’s too expensive, and I’d rather support a weaver directly than through a designer. My family is from Andhra Pradesh and we usually buy our saris from the handloom directly whenever we visit India.

        END RANT.

    • Agree with you on the “not working” ones. Also, what’s with the weird pose in the shift beige dress? I like Ishani Jaiswal for the over-all styling (love the skirt). But nothing is spectacular. We have seen Sonam done all these looks bfore too.

  3. Love these looks. Im usually not a fan of how she dresses up.. but she’s really simplified her looks esp the first and third looks.. and this is how she should be normally, without extra layering and over accessorising.

  4. I really like how toned down this whole promo tour is. Fits the movie theme really. The Nishka is my least fav & I really like the laid back vibe of the bermuda suit.

  5. Why am I not impressed more? I mean, Sonam’s worn everything well, she’s put together each look meticulously, hair and accessories are interesting….but it’s lesser than the sum of its parts.

  7. These midriff showing cropped tops are not for her body type. In that Morphe outfit, while she managed to not pose frontal we can still see the amount of breath holding she is doing to get that flat tummy effect. Even all those filters ain’t helping. 😛 She looks good in that Sailex.

  8. She leaves me craving for more.. she was so good during Raanjhanaa promotions. And why why why would you cut that beautiful mane. I crave the long hair too. Sigh!

  9. In name of experimenting and changing it up, she is sporting so many varied looks… it appears she has no defined sense of style and merely a canvas ( apretty one… no doubt) on which stylists paint what they want…
