Sari Style
Wearing a very pretty embroidered Rahul Mishra sari, Sonam attended the Mother Teresa Memorial Awards on Sunday evening.
While she got the hairdo and jewels right, unfortunately the sari itself seemed like it was giving her issues, especially the pallu. Perhaps, the better move for her would’ve been to just wear the pallu down versus around the shoulder. It would’ve made for a more effortless look.
What say you? More pics inside.

Maybe that is just me, but the saree is NOT lovely by any stretch of imagination. It looks okay. Besides, sonam somehow looks mighty washed-out & messy here.
You are not alone. I think exactly the same. Also the make up, hair and earrings are total downer
exactly! actually went to other sites to see if there r better pics. nope! totally washed out!
+1 to all you said.
Cheers. 🙂
This look could only be rocked by Gayatri Devi, who somehow seemed to make just about any such saris work. This falls flat on Sonam.
P&P, it’s a Rahul Mishra sari!
The loose hair strands makes it messy. And the colour is lovely but the sari is okay-okay.
Saree is by Rahul Mishra
The saree looks dated. Neither does it look vintage nor does it look contemporary. A solid colour blouse would have made it look nicer. She is looking beautiful and elegant. But the saree isn’t good in the first place. The fabric isn’t falling well and making a confident saree wearer look messy and uncomfortable. Is this Organza?
@highheelconfidential It’s Rahul Mishra!
looks horrible.. that is one ugly saree- far from lovely
It is such an un-Sonam look with that sloppy pallu.
The saree is by Rahul mishra… She looks lovely in it…
I agree, she looks good and that Saree is beautiful
its a rahul mishra saree
Nope ….. no love for the saree. And the drape and washed out make up just making things worse
Would it really hurt them to wear regular clothes once in a while .. a fab india kurta or so.. it’s an event to honour a woman who fought against poverty and malnutrition for heavens sake… don’t get me wrong … I like my glamour.. but there is a time and place for everything
I agree. Sometimes less is more.
Second that! Small, inconspicuous studs or no jewelry, an understated outfit and focusing on the cause instead….There’s a place and time for everything, and the event doesnt call for a display of wealth
She looks like Waheeda Rehman in some of the pics!
Can’t believe people saying they don’t like this saree, it’s so pretty. The colour is beautiful on her, maybe not the way she’s wrapped it around herself. The blouse may have looked better plain though.
In the minority here. I think the sari is pretty. The drape however is sloppy. Was she trying to cover up due to the sombre event….in that case, she should have known better than to wear a see-through sari.
Agree with every point you made
The saree is ok and she looks cute. However, those earrings are just gorgeous.
Sonam luking very dull and dated. This sari looks old and very ordinary also the blouse is ugly and fit is very bad on her.
I love the earrings paired with that shade of green… but this saree isnt anything great.. it is ok types
The styling is off, but the saree is a grgeous piece of work. Love, love, love it!
