In Ashi Studio

At the Mumbai edition of HT Most Stylish Awards, Sonam was seen in a black Ashi Studio gown, a label she favors a lot these days. Balancing out the flared gown was a sleek side-parted updo, a Corto Moltedo clutch and simple black sandals.

Even though I am not a fan of gowns that have an abrupt cutoff of the lining, there was no denying here that she looked fabulous! Loved the exaggerated eye-lashes.

  1. lol ..Is there anything you don’t like of Sonam no matter how ridiculous the look is?
I hate the exaggerated eye lashes. Looks like she can’t move her face with the tight updo.
    Don’t like anything

  2. The silhouette doesn’t suit her body type, makes her look huge….just a few posts back u hated urvashi rautelas outfit for lack of lining…!

  3. I might be in the minority here but I like her look here.
Also her makeup is not whitewashed. True to her skin tone it looks good.
I dont think this is that edgy a gown to call for a Beyonce attitude anyway.

  4. This is a classic case of biased judgement P&P! Howcome you are so overly gaga about how good she looks in this ridiculous gown, whereas you are always so nitpicky about the “sheer bodice” of the gown and the “semi-lined inners” of the silhouettes worn by other celebs!? Not done one bit.

  5. That lining vs the actual dress disparity looks super trashy. The lace is of poor quality looks like something you could get at a local market. But have to agree that the makeup is good. Way better that the makeup she had six month back. At least it isn’t patchy and chalky.

  6. Pshhhh…. there are a lot of things that you people (P&P) are not a fan of when other people wear it, but LOVE it when Sonam dons it. It used to be irritating and now it’s plain hilarious, because I can always tell what is going to be written under Sonam posts.

Nothing about this look works other than the fact that her makeup looks nice for once. I am all for favoritism in terms of actors but this is just blatant bias.

  7. Utter nonsense, she looked dramatic and certainly good. Totally uncalled for these ‘o so biased’ calls. This blog is not yours to call them biased.

  8. Sonam looks pretty good, including her makeup! She is covered head to toe and the absence of a lining doesn’t look tacky….great legs actually! A Beyonce gown, it is not, and no one needs to have a Beyonce attitude to wear this gown either.

  9. Sonam always messes up at least one part of her attire.. now its the hit doesn’t go with the voluminous gown …that aside, that lace gown is a beauty in itself

  10. I like the makeup, but the dress looks quite unflattering on her. It looked alright on the model — it’s making Sonam look huge and bulky.

  11. I like the makeup but the dress is not good. It’s making her look really hippy (as in bum heavy). And it’s strange how a dress can be sheer and yet have a dowager feel to it. All she needs is a veil and she’s in mourning. Also after seeing everyone dressed quite casually for this event, Ms Kapoor looks a tad overdressed.

    • Not Sonam´s fault when some people in India don´t respect dresscodes. Most stylish award show. If there was ever a place for high fashion, it is this one.

  12. The “Matronly Tramp” look, courtesy Sonam Kapoor. A few of the comments on Sonam posts are so much more interesting than the expected gushing “critique” from P&P!

  13. I think there is an element of fawning over the Sonam posts – for Eg. ” there is no denying that she looked fabulous” whereas in other celeb posts it would be a neutral comment such as ” did you like her look”. With all due respect to P & P, much as I love this site there is a small element of bias in Sonam’s favour and hey I can live with that- but do expect comments such as Sairas.

  14. I think there is something jarring about this look when you see it at first, maybe, because it’s not a very predictable look. But, now that I have looked at other celebrities at this event – I do like this look quite a lot. I think everything is very well put together. I don’t care if P&P are biased, they allow everyone to post anything they want even if it’s disrespectful to them; Then, clearly, I don’t see why they can’t have a bias/ opinion on their own blog and flaunt it 😉
