Sari Style – Part Deux

Sonali attended Diwali parties on Saturday wearing a blue sari paired with benarasi long jacket, both from Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. Am on the fence about this look because I like the idea and that jacket was pretty with its full puffy sleeves made didn’t quite work with the sari. I think if she’d worn the jacket with a simple kurta suit, would’ve been more effective.

Agree the look doesn’t come together well. But those aren’t puffy sleeves, are they? They are sort of bell-sleeves. Puffy sleeves would have gathers, like Seinfel’s famous puffy shirt
I am liking the look as is. She manages to make it work.
But maybe a plain saree in another less invasive color or a plain silk suit would have been made the look more stand out and focused the attention on the jacket.
Anyone else getting Prof. Trelawney vibes? 🙂
Having said that, Sonalis face is so stunning, she can make pretty much anything work.
