Sonali attended Akash and Shloka’s wedding reception on Sunday evening wearing a red Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla suit. Part of me wishes she picked gold jewellery to go along with the gota work on the suit. The diamonds seemed to clash just a wee bit.

So many atrocious looks get a free pass on these pages but you are nit picking on Sonali’s look? I can’t even notice the jewelry clashing with the outfit. All I am thinking is she is one brave lady to get out and stand in the middle of a very vain Bollywood crowd.

she is so beautiful and so brave. there is a vulnerability on her face that makes my heart go out to her.
I don’t think Sonali would want our pity. If you listen to her interviews, that’s one thing she made clear to her friends and staff that she wanted no pity coming from any one and would like to be treated the same as anyone else. So yes, if P&P feels the diamond accessories are somewhat of a mismatch, let them share that in this fashion-critique blog.
I thought that the design work on her outfit was too busy but, then again, it is event-appropriate and the diamond jewelry looked fine to me. She looks lovely and radiant, and how I love the confidence with which she flaunts her new hairstyle. Here’s looking forward to many many more of her appearances on this blog.
I agree entirely, Sonali would not want our pity and it’s an injustice to a bold and brave woman to treat her any differently than we would anyone else. She looks strong and beautiful and that’s despite the extremely gaudy and ugly outfit not because of it. I see no contradiction in admiring the radiant woman while also being utterly turned off by the awful outfit. Payal’s critique was in no was disrespectful of Sonali as a person while being honest about her styling.
Her hair doesnt seem to be growing back(or she continues to get chemo?), which tells me there must be something going on…

she is a beautiful woman, definitely big gold earrings would have given more proportion. i am sure, she is happy to be on these pages.

I like Sonali and all that but that is a really hideous outfit. Why dont these women wear a nice woven sari sometimes? Now that would have rocked. Her very short hair and a lovely traditional sari, a proper sleeved blouse and a big smile.
