Purplicious
Sonali sashayed down the runway at the Omega event wearing a purple Mandira Wirk gown that had an exaggerated pleated detail on the shoulder and a pleated bodice with an ombre effect. The gown had us at the color and the dramatic shoulder and props to Sonali for not spoiling it with a bib necklace! Love it.

u LOVE that??? seriously?? I think its appropriate for girls under 10 and that’s it
gud hair and make up. but dont like dress.
Totally agree. The barbie dress is too frilly…
Stunning – the face, the colour, the look, the style! She got everything right! She really is one of the most beautiful women in India…
True! With her height, smile, physique she could have easily been the number 1. Many times I think the difference between Aishwariya rai and Sonali Bendre is just good luck. Sonali’s career suffered at many spots, whereas Ash had a wonderful upward rising curve!
well.. luck and a lil’ help from the Indian obsession with fair skin and light eyes..!!
plus she is too tall for a lot of indian actors. Its acceptable now but was not 10 yrs ago.
She’s the true beauty, just getting better and better with age!
To me this gown seems to have taken inspiration from a Mrachesa one that Blake Lively wore a few months back at The Costume Gala. Obviously Marchesa was much much better, and beautiful.
So true, it was the short blue Marchesa dress…It was lovely caz the Marchesa dress was short and did not have the whole satiny shiny fabric as in this gown..
she is looking stunning, hairs makeup and the color of the dress is looks gorgeous on her..im not loving the gown much but sonali makes it work.
Agree!!
wow! she looks nice.
just wish she added some small shining earings and not liking the spiral sandals much. she should have gone for some simple black/silver sandals.
i am blown away! her best appearance in a long long long time. She looks ravishing. Can’t fault anything. go gal! and keep it up
Sonali looks lovely. Not a big fan of this dress, i hate pleated anything. But she does make it work. Wish she had chosen silver footwear. That black is too too stark against the purple.
Sonali makes the color and dress work. On anyone else it would be disaster. She is true beauty.
INDEED!
She looks really pretty and the colour works well for her but the gown itself looks a bit tacky to me. Somehow very few indian designers can make quality, chic gowns. Something almost always looks off
I find the fall of the gown not quite right.. it seems tacky, also the pleated shoulder detail doesnt quite seem awe inspiring.
I guess its sonali making this dress look great! she looks lovely!
luv the color….hair…..makeup……n HATEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE the dress
Beautiful!
such beauty pegeant/ brides maid dress.. ughhhhhh
I gasped when I saw this picture
It’s an outstanding look and honestly one of the best I have ever seen on this site.
Dress is dramatic and i’m so glad she didn’t tone it down with some boring old pumps or sandals.
and her hair and makeup is impeccable
The shoulder pleating is too much for me. The rest is great, even the shoes. I love black “strappy/gladiator/S&M/bondage” shoes with cute dresses.
wow! she looks awesome!!
She looks great only neck up!
god pnp you guys have a strange sense of style if you like that gown..it looks tacky and looks like one of those made in thailand cheap dresses. im disappointed that you like this awful dress. sonali wore the best gown ever at the drona premiere. yikes..this gown is cringe worthy
i dont like the gown at all ..its just not a neat piece , waist down looks like wht a neighbour hood boutique aunty wld stitch
too pageanty !!!
There is nothing impressive about this dress!
Sonali looks beautiful, although the dress is a poor remake of a Marchesa.
omg, sonali looks so gorgeousl in the 3rd pic! goodness, she’s a beauty!
Fully agree with you that the colour is rich & ravishing. But the gown….it’s so wrong on so many counts I don’t even want to begin!
Love those pleats & the color.
the colour is amazing!
