It was a semi-sheer Rohit Gandhi + Rahul Khanna cape-dress for Sonakshi, one that she paired with braids and pastel accents (via the nail and lip color and minimalist sandals). The styling sure came as a surprise but wasn’t of the unwelcome kind. Going by pictures on social media, Sonakshi made it work, and then some. The actor looked good!

Well well. The outfit without those filters is really unflattering.
The Kardashian sisters introducing this terrible braided style and the Bollywood clan picking it up has to me the single most unwelcome fashion move of this year.
I am on the fence about the gown…I do like the color. The hair though…Nope.
Whoever said Sonakshi is stylish is wrong.

None of us r perfect..one must knw one’s flaws..Sonakshi must musttt avoid such severe hairstyles which brings entire focus on her forehead! Also, I dn’t like d makeup..outfit is nice thou.
I agree. That phase where she had got her hair cut short, she looked cute in it. With this hairstyle, more than forehead being in the spotlight, that hairstyle makes her look like she has very limp hair.

The pictures she has posted on her social media are heavily photo-shopped. Her face and body appear much slimmer than the live pics from the event. And the contouring! What a bloody nightmare!
That hair is a complete no-no. It’s not like the outfit is any great shakes, but the hair pulls it down to a whole new level.

The hair looks really funny. Make up is patchy. She still doesnt look trashy and thats quite a feat in that sheer gown. The gown would have looked much better on some one with a different body type.
Can’t believe you haven’t commented on the hideous makeup! Dress is nice, as is the hair, but the makeup just ruins it.

i would have killed my makeup artist if he had done this to me. i can understand the makeup getting cakey or not working under flash but this is JUST WRONG

Her face literally looks roasted because of all that severe contouring. The outfit has so much potential but it has been brought down by bad makeup and that unimpressive hairstyle.
Death by pig tails and make up contouring!! Her hands is the only thing that look human in those pics. Even those are painted turquoise! Why?? Why this obsession to even try somthing like that in the name of fashion?

Why was K Kardashian her inspiration? With her forehead the braids were not a right choice,
The look could have been salvaged ,inspite of those braids, but the bad make up ruined it all.
She could give Kim Kardashian a run for her money with all that contouring if she only blended it well.
Her face is way too contoured,it looks like a guy fables mask.she used to do nice makeup earlier,safe but good.

Well well well!! Puts our hair thinning and wide forehead worries to shame! All this access to money , hair stylists and a team of makeup artists around and she turns up like this ,when she was sure ppl like DP were gonna show up like they have did !!? 😛 But it has to be said , it is no mean feat that she doesn’t look trashy/wannabe in such a revealing outfit given her body type .. Props to her for that , but the hair is just a big no-no!!

Too Rihanna/Kartrashian -esque for my liking! But unlike them, there’s no denying that she looks good!
