Promotions for her movie saw Sobhita in saris recently, each one different from the other. Loved the Sabyasachi and Tarun Tahiliani outings instantly. As for the Payal Khandwala, didn’t quite liking the collar blouse or the hair do.

See this is where personality and inherent comfort with wearing something (as opposed to something wearing you) makes all the difference. The Sabya is actually nothing to write home about but the styling and Sobhita’s inherent comfort with herself makes it work. I personally like the PK a lot.
If I go back to the recent talking to some of us got on the saree in a previous post, this is what experimenting looks like. Where you retain the inherent spirit of the garment. Fashion needs to evolve and breathe. I’m all for it. But don’t butcher classics.
I can put those looks to three periods.. 3rd- 1900, 2nd- 1990 and 1st- 2021. But the saree remains constant and unchanged throughout..
the movie she was promoting is set in the 80s so the way she styled the pk saree actually makes sense
All looks are so different and strong.. I love the first look. Third look has interesting details to styling with old world hairstyle abd make up.
I loved the Payal khandalwala the most.. Sure looks supremely stunning in it. The other 2 …Ididn’t care much for them.
Exactly… The Payal K saree look is the best here..
I personally love the Payal Khandwala the most. It’s a very chic and interesting look.
Answer to my prayers. This inspriratiinqk styling – what a fashion blog should be.
Oh my, loving all three and Sobhita is a class act!
she looks divine in the Sabya
all three are interesting. personally love the TT look the most- so elegant!
I actually loved the Sabya and Payal Khandelwal the most, The Tahiliani saree is just dated. Shobita looks uber chic and so comfortable donning all 3 though.
PK saree is strictly ok, the other two are extremely boring. Sabya ran out of creativity long ago and TT is stuck in the 90s. What shines despite these sub par sarees is Shobhita, her attitude and confidence.
I like 3,2,1 in that order
Love the PK (surprised you didn’t care for it) and also love the way the Sabyasachi is styled, but the TT is so dated and yawn-inducing (surprised you do care for it) 🙂
I loved the second (the one being called dated!) – maybe it seems more personally wearable than the rest? As in, I would never be fashion forward enough to wear a belt with a saree. Dont mind the third too – the first seems strictly ok to me.
She looks spectacular! And it doesn’t even matter if the styling is off, the hair is dated, make up is loud, etc. etc. A good model makes it all work.
She resembles Bipasha in the second pic, that itself makes it dated 🙂
