Sobhita attended the trailer launch of Ponniyin Selvan in-character as Vanati dripping in jewellery from Kishandas jewellery. She looked stunning but it also felt gimmicky.

While on the subject, I’d appreciate it if actors saved their movie looks for the movie itself. Wouldn’t it be more interesting to see their transformation on screen? If they played a beggar, will they dress up as a beggar for promos? Wait…NVM, they’ll never play a beggar.

Really.. Wat all is going on in movie promotion circus. That’s too much jewellery almost comical. A balconette bra for a saree blouse, fabrics all over n what not..

I am not a big fan of the matha patis at the premiere but this is the only look where it didn’t stick out.
It feels gimmicky because she is a secondary character. Had Aishwarya worn it a similar comment would not be made. Its just the way the world is.
