  1. I think she has dressed up her denims the right way for a premiere. And she looks gorgeous here.
I agree with Kismet — she is doing it in a way that she is comfy in…nothng over the top…but still making the efforts to be more glamorous….
    me like…!

  2. I love mixing dressy tops with jeans. This is good for a premiere that is not blinged out. But I would have preferred black, or almost black jeans.

  3. she seems to get it right more than wrong…she has an earthy quality that really shines thru in the choices she makes. could do with better shoes, though. heartening to see her do it well w/o being too designer-y.

  4. i dont love the shoes.. and she needs help with the clutch carrying posture.. it seems she is more conscious and is covering her midsection..

but overall i do like the outfit ..

  5. She looks great! I love the way she looks, but can’t help but think how I’d feel actually wearing that… Awkward?! But I guess If I looked that good in it, it wouldn’t matter!

  6. NO!
I cringe when I see all of these Indian celebs in JEANS at PREMIRES!
Frieda was dressed up, Anil was dressed up, Danny Boyle was dressed up, Ifraan was dressed up…but they came in JEANS!!

  7. Everything looks good except the color and wash of her denims does not go well with the top. She should have gone for a darker, almost black, wash.

  8. I love Konkona, so I’m a bit biased. I think the top is appropriately blingy for a premiere, especially paired with jeans. I love it when people take the risk and wear patterned/printed tops, and this specific blouse has everything going for it: a flattering cut, a good length, and colors that complement each other. My minor complaint is that the shoes aren’t great. Also, the wash of the jeans could have been darker, to make the outfit more formal.

  9. I think she looks lovely. But yea, she would’ve worn it better with nice black pants. I could let that go though… I know, I know I’m partial towards Koko.

Actually like few people said above, I like that she’s being glam in her own way. To be honest, I’m not a fan of this trend of women wearing fancy shmancy dresses/gowns to EVERY function in town. It’s become so boring…. everywhere you look some pretty lass is wearing international/local designer’s new dress. I say, reserve it for special occasions only… like award functions, etc. That’ll atleast give it some novelty. And I hate how Sari’s have become so rare with Indian celebs.
