In Moschino

Simone attended the Met Gala wearing Moschino. The bustier was presented on the runway with a pencil skirt and a cropped jacket and was mostly hidden. Not so the case at the Met though, where was paired with a long skirt and a dramatic hooded cape made it (the bustier) the highlight.
I thought she looked great but whether she was on theme (In America: An Anthology of Fashion being the theme), is up in the air. Apart from the fact that the bustier is from the Beauty And The Beast inspired Fall 2022 collection, there really wasn’t a connect.

It wasn’t so good to stand out after all, looks like any crop top. Looks ok on model because it’s worn better, on the actress it looks like a top with underskirt.
What a gorgeous gorgeous face she has… and that lovely complexion. Absolutely nailed the hair and makeup. The black skirt and cloak are a bit too stark for my liking …guess to set off the bustier in..contrast… but this feels incomplete somehow. Needed something extra… afterall this is the Met gala!
The outfit on the runway is stunning despite me not warming to bustier type tops, just a personal thing. On the RC, Ms. Ashley looks like any other wannabe.
LOL wannabes don’t star in the biggest English-language Netflix show of all time.
And she looks absolutely polished and stunning here.
Fantastic makeup, lovely face, sexy bustier; but that shade of black sucks up all the joy in the world 🙁
Simone is such a beauty but this outfit is just plain bad, the corset fit is strange, especially from the side. Not really liking the hair and make up either. She looked amazing with her hair loose, in the show 🙁

Yup, theme was Gilded Glamour. That’s why so many celebs were in head to toe gold.
The bustier was part hidden on the runway and with good reason. It looks better that way.
Simone is a stunner with beautiful facial structure and features. Loved the makeup, styling and the black part. Switch the bustier for a dramatic one or an edgy corset and this would have been MET worthy. There is no connect whatsoever to the theme as well. Underwhelming look as is.
Ewww didn’t like the sighting one bit from head to toe. The run way version would’ve been so much better if replicated.
