In Suket Dhir
Shriya attended the Critics Choice Awards this week wearing a brocade benarasi suit by Suket Dhir. When it comes to a pant suit, I like mine with stiff wider lapels and I also like my pants without that middle crease. My preferences aside, she looked nice nevertheless.

Jacket requires more definition. In this print, flared pants would have worked better

The fabric is beautiful, and it’s good to see traditional weaves in new cuts and silhouettes. Shriya looks lovely.
That said, the look would have been nicer if the jacket were a bit shorter and the pants slightly roomier.

Nothing about this looks works for me.
It’s is making this pretty woman look flushed.
Middle crease works only on pants that are part of formal outfits. This suit looks like the lady here ironed out a pajama suit.
Shorter blazer and some flare in the pants wud have worked here…
If there was ever a suit that would’ve benefited from some contrast (piping or lapels in solid) or even a tuxedo stripe on the trousers.
Works for me because of the color and the sandals. And her smile!
Lose the choker, shorten and fit the jacket better, loosen out the trousers minus the crease – this would have been a winner.
But I’d take it any day because she did not choose an ‘edgy’ anarkali or lehenga here.
