Of Film Festivals

Shraddha attended a gala at the ongoing Red Sea Film Festival on Monday evening wearing a sequin gown from Falguni and Shane Peacock. Unfortunately, between all the sequin and hotchpotch of patterns, I wasn’t loving the gown itself. She attended a panel session wearing a pink Ekaya sari (see inside) with a brocade strapless corset blouse and statement belt and that was a far better appearance, I thought.

What say you about her two outings?

  1. Both looks are so disappointing. The gown is gorgeous without that random shoulder harness. The saree look needed a less sloppy drape and a belt that went with the saree and not just any leather belt.

  2. I actually prefer the Peacock gown look. Yes, the gown is busy. But Shraddha has kept the rest of the look simple & minimal and that balances it out. She looks glamorous and pretty. In the Ekaya look, I don’t much care for that rather strange looking belt. It’s anyway not very attractive & on her petite frame, it just seems overwhelming.

  3. I have to disagree – the F&SP is striking and stands out. It’s a lot visually but still very glamorous. The pink saree, esp with that belt looks like something off of Myntra or Meesho – nothing special about it.

  4. Boy o’ boy how gorgeous her face is looking! I’m loving her in this sequin gown. I agree that the gown is busy but she’s owning every bit of it.

  5. She is one of the “newer” female actors who doesn’t care much about the looks. Her clothing is very often not on point but she is very comfortable with her herself and it reflects that’s she owns whatever she wears. Also her face and smile are so damn beautiful

  6. She looks way better in the Shane and Peacock. though it seems to be inspired from one of Rahul Mishra’s previous creations. Keeping the make up simple an look fuss free definitely helped. The Ekaya Saree while pretty does nothing with the belt, if anything it looks awkward on her petite frame. Her stylist should have gone for the Ekaya cape instead.

  7. I can’t believe I’m saying I love a Falguni look but Shraddha is owning this and how. Can’t get over how gorgeous her face looks with perfect makeup/hair.
It’s weird because on paper the pink saree should’ve killed it but because of the strange makeup and low-quality execution of the outfit, it doesn’t quite pop.
