Pairing a puffy-sleeved Shanghai Tang top with a Zara skirt, Shilpa attended a press meet in Mumbai yesterday. Black shoulder bag and Bulgari watch aside, embellished Miu Miu sandals rounded out her look.

  1. I like how the streamlined skirt balances out that pouffy blouse. But it’s Shilpa, of course she has to go for overkill. Those sandals are an eyesore.

  2. I feel she could have skipped either the embellished sandals or the skirt and let just one of them be the statement piece. Love the blouse though!

  3. Every piece she is wearing is an eyesore. Nothing goes with each other – the puffy blouse, the skirt or the shoes. And the shoes are the worst offender!

  4. Only like the top ( even that is nothing to write home about) . No love for the skirt . And those sandals are plain horrid . Miu miu or whatever:/

  5. She looks cute. The top & skirt is nice. But those sandals are a complete no. Plain black or blue simple sandals would have made the skirt work.

  6. Coco Chanel advised the following when dressing: “Before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take one thing off.” Take note, Shilpa.

  7. Unlike the majority, i love the skirt! would wear it to office in delhi winters with a black turtleneck and grey heels.. but those blingy red shoes – NO!! The talon like nails in red are the proverbial icing on this over blinged out affair

  8. On 15th of June 1785, in the plains of Wimereux, France, Jean-François Pilâtre de Rozier flew a hybrid hydrogen hot air baloon. This was over the English Channel, no less – the most famous expanse of water which every sportsman aimed to conquer. A feather on top of the crespinette meant nothing if it wasn’t one won by either swimming across, flying over, or paddling across the English Channel. Jean, on his part, was well prepared – he had laid off the uncured cheeses, wore the right garment and even trimmed his beard in the style of the day. However, lady luck wasn’t on his side. He crashed the balloon and died before his insurers could scramble to put together enough silver coins to treat his broken ribs.

The top looks like that crashed baloon from 1785.
