Ms. Shetty was in NYC recently to attend the screening of her movie ‘The Desire’ at the New York City International Film Festival.
The actress donned a white Tarun Tahiliani fusion sari paired with a gold clutch. While, I loved the contrast black belt, wasn’t digging the paillettes on the bodice.

That looks like the kind of dress that I remember Catholic aunties used to wear on ‘special occasions” . See- through, odd cut, blingy etc..looks very odd on Shilpa. Even Tarun Tahiliani can go wrong:))
such a weird dress.either remove the see thru detail or chop of the pallu draping. both together is an eye sore.
the dress has too much going on; a sweatheart necline, net overlay, saree like shoulder drape, and a corseted waist. can’t believe someone as stylish as shilpa picked this.
Sweet mother of all WTHeys!!! what on earth is this sorry excuse for a saree? why is the pallu inside the blouse and why is the blouse sprouting those thingamajigs at the bosom and why o why is she wearing a back brace with it all?

Totally agree! Lovely and unique sari. Belt is great but the paillettes are so so unneccessary! They make the classy sari look rather tacky!

She can’t be serious. This monstrosity looks like an unholy mess. Its what you’d get if you crossed an 80s Madonna outfit with a Sridevi saree..
There’s too much clash of colors and textures with the gold and the silver and the black and the white, but that said Ms Shetty certainly has the body and the attitude to carry off such silhouettes well.

You can never make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear. Same way, Shilpa will never be the silk purse.
the dress is awful, perhaps it is the black midsection that really makes it so. that being said, this dress could have still been carried off by dia mirza or the like. Shilpa better stick to her signature bling. It is always her bod exposure that does the trick.

Yiuck !! It looks simply bad.. I think someone has taken revenge on her by selliing this horrible outfit to her .. and someone else has taken another revenge by not telling her before stepping out that .. this sari is not worth wearing anywhere :p
