Shilpa helped inaugurate an art exhibition on Thursday wearing a linen Anavila sari. I have to admit, her opting for a linen sari and then to wear her hair up in a bun with flowers was quite a curveball and made for a very welcome change. Just wish she’d picked simple medallion studs instead of those flashy danglers. She did look nice!

How does she manage to make this Anavila saree look OTT??
Lol!! Yeah true…. Never seen a linen saree look flashy. I normally wear one when I need to look understated.
But let’s take what we get… She looks pretty good…
It’s the painted eyebrows and the painted .nails

This here looks like 60s cosplay, with almost bouffant hair and all.

Such a pretty saree, how can you soap star-ify it with the harsh hair and clownish make up.
And she’s got such good skin and hair where there’s no need for so much (awful) makeup and styling.
Beautiful sari, and I wish her overstyled hair, makeup, jewelry hadn’t contributed to this outfit looking costume-like.

As a fellow commentator once mentioned, Shilpa does “Chamiya couture” well. Even if it’s an Anavila linen saree.
She could have toned down the makeup and let the danglers go.
talk about ruining an anavila with the television-level styling! literally nothing works here except the saree — from the bouffant hair, the gross danglers, the pepto-bismol blouse, the heavyhanded make-up, even the matchy-matchy flowers.

Pretty sari, baaaaad styling
Trust Shilpa to dress tacky 90% of the times and then throw a 360 degree curve ball surprising us all.
She did just that here and looks like a million bucks.
I liked the look as is. Maybe it is the elegance of the Anavila saree.
P.s: I still hate the painted eyebrows.
She can actually dress decent too.. don’t love this look but thank no gimmicks.
I will never ever get tired of boat neck blouses with sarees. I think she looked great and was dressed appropriately for an art exhibit opening!

A real curve ball would have been if Shilpa ditched the earrings and clutch. Wore a loose bun with a single rose , put a big bindi and carried a jhola. That would be true art exhibition couture.
Some things never change.

Haven’t seen Kangana on these pages for ages . I don’t follow any social media so this is my source of all Bollywood looks and I kinda miss seeing her . She usually dresses very well.
