Sari Style
Wearing a Parsi Gara embroidered sari from Ashdeen, Shilpa attended a Womens Day event in Mumbai on Wednesday. She wore the sari well but I found the big earrings a bit distracting. Like what you see?

She looks lovely 🙂
2007 called and asked for its clothes back.
She is THE chammak challo of bollywood.
She manages to achieve this every single time….
Eew what the hell is she wearing..
How does she look so stunning . Her hair looks more modern too
The embroidery is beautiful. How I wish this saree was is in a subtle pastel shade. The bright red is clashing with the embroidery and drawing attention away from it.
The white earrings… Ugh!
Very distracting outfit altogether … looks dated too
Shilpa Shetty has done the impossible – she has made the supremely classy gara look tacky!!
Whoever named her style “Chhamiya Chic” here in the comments section is spot on, they need to copyright it asap
PS: are you sure this is a gara? I thought gara embroidery is usually only in one colour (silver), but this seems to have multicoloured threads.
Gara is normally large embroidery of birds, flowers, etc done in white or pastels. This is definitely gara.
The only word that consistently pops up in my mind when I see Shilpa is – pageant.
Oh God! Did she just step out of the song filming from a 90s movie? Time travelled well, Shilpa. Earrings and sandals included.
P.S: Such a disservice to the embroidery.
She cannot let go of the 80/90s aesthetic, no matter what.
I like the sari/gara, but those earrings take it right back to the 90s.
Shilpa Shetty pulling off a Shilpa Shetty!
Saw better pictures on the internet…on anyone else it wud have been over the top..but she made it work. One of her good appearances.
LOUD!
