Oscar winner Sharmeen was spotted at the Venice Film Festival first at the screening of The Mattei Affair in a casual outfit and at the Gucci Awards for Women In Cinema in a cheery floral orange Maheen Kareem jumpsuit paired with a Fendi clutch.

We think she looked great in the evening look. The day look, however, was haphazard. We do love the pop of green via the Mahin Hussain Pakistan flag clutch.

  1. If only she was not wearing those pants and that belt in the 2nd look, it could’ve worked (probably with tights or different pants). I like the kurta, the necklace and clutch…

    • Me too! What’s more, I love her wearing it. There’s attitude and personality showing. I agree with the comments concerning the length, yes it could have been shortened, looks like there was no time for that. Anyway, she did shine.

  2. maheen karim needs to stop designing already. I am surprised she’s been in business this long. and Ms Sharmeen badly needs a stylist. btw that’s a Fendi baguette she’s carrying with the orange jumpsuit.

    • and why in god’s name does she always leave her hair so messy? i get that she’s a serious documentary maker and stuff but that’s what stylists are for and there are plenty in karachi.

    • err yeah- she’s a karachite and she would never go for a lahori designer (house of kamiar rokni). she will stick to the unoriginal *cough* rip-off *cough* designs of karachi designers.

  3. How disappointing… and talk about a missed opportunity!

Always better to go with classics like Bunto Kazmi, Nickie and Nina, HSY, Nomi Ansari, etc., than with the kitsch wannabes who are far too contrived for their own good!
