Ditto!
Shruti attended the launch of the fourth season of Celebrity Cricket League in Mumbai wearing a black Shantanu and Nikhil gown, first seen on Shamita when she took in the designer’s Bridal Week show.
Shamita looked nice in hers, but Shruti really owned the gown all thanks to the styling. The hairdo, the spike ring, and the choice to wear the chain cuff only in one ear. Loved it all.
I did have a teeny gripe about the length of the gown on Shruti but it was definitely not a deal breaker.

Am I the only one getting a McQueen vibe here??
Nopes..i thot it was the same one!
My first thought too
Shame!
Though Shruti is working it!
I think Shamita fares better in this one. Shruthi’s hairdo and styling is a little too intense
Agree ………..shamita looks better , doesn’t seem to be trying too hard ……it may be a minor issue but shruti’s feet peeping out at the bottom takes a lot away from the look….
I have a question.
One often reads: “this person let the outfit be the center/ let the outfit do the talking”. I thought one wore clothes and dressed up, to look good ‘oneself’. The point of dressing up is not simply to let the dress look good, but to look good for yourself. Or did that change somewhere? I mean, the dress is supposed to look good on the hanger when we buy it. It is a product that we use to enhance ourselves, or is it a product that uses us to be shown-off? I know this is a blog dedicated to clothes, but some hairstyles/ dresses/ kinds of jwellery may not suit a particular person. For example, Aishwarya Rai wears her hair down- and may be she feels better that way. May be, she thinks her eyes look good like that, and she takes away emphasis from her ears or jaw or something (I am totally making this up). But reading any comment these days, it sounds as if the entire point is to “show-off the dress”. Anyone who fails to show-the-dress-off is failing to dress-up well??
Did I miss something??
For most dresses to work, the styling has to be right, the hair, the jewellry, the accessories for the look to work. But for some clothes, you don’t need much for the look to work, thats when you let the dress be the center, that dress doesn’t need a fancy clutch or big earrings, it works in itself !
I am getting a Sonam Kapoor vibe from Shruti’s look *think back to the long black dress with ear cuffs and exaggerated eyeliner look*
+1 ditto!
I like the both, actually… both wore it well and look great
