Doing Desi

Both Shanaya and Amrita attended Diwali parties over the weekend wearing red lehengas, the former picked Rahul Mishra and the latter, one by Seema Khan. Wearing their hair down, both ladies rounded out their look with gold-toned bags, in Amrita’s case, it was a Valentino.

It was easy to pick a favorite- Shanaya! She wore her lehenga well and looked nice.

There’s always a certain charm to minimalism but this wasn’t the time… Amrita’s look begged for some jewelry. With the cut of her choli and the dupatta being draped the way it was, Amrita could’ve really used a necklace or earrings, or both; it just looked unfinished and bare.

  1. I’m sorry they both look like Christmas trees. So much red, loud make up and all that bling, it’s hurting my eyes. Bollywood needs Keep calm it’s only Diwali shirts.

  3. Isn’t Anaya too young and definitely not deserving to be featured here? She is not someone that has chosen to be in the public eye (not a model or acteress). So why critique her dressing.

  4. Their outfits are too much for a Diwali party but everyone was overdressed so cannot blame them. I like Amrita’s lehenga, especially the color, but what’s up with her makeup, her cheeks looks too red and odd. Also, her bag does not go with what she is wearing.

    • I guess the only explanation is that designers offloading their unsold wedding Lehenga’s from last season!!! Why else would this happen..

  5. Despite the deep red outfit Amrita is wearing with a gold bag that doesn’t match the outfit and no jewellery, all I really notice are her cheeks.
