Wearing an embellished mini dress by Pinko, Shanaya attended a recent soiree in Mumbai. With her hair pulled back in to a severe knot, minimalist accessories rounded out her look.
From what we can see, it’s safe to speculate that the theme of the night was ‘sparkle-meets-cocktail’. Knowing that, do you like the look on Ms. Kapoor? Does she wear the mini well? Sure. That said, I still think this was a cop out and she could’ve done so much better!

But I’m just curious: is the concept of having a “red carpet” for a supposedly “private” wedding new in Bollywood? I’ve never seen this before (not just Advani/Malhotra affair, but just all these weddings these past few years).
I personally think it’s tacky. Wear whatever you want to wear to your friend’s wedding, share pictures from the wedding if you want on your own, but all this hoopla of having a red carpet just cheapens the affair IMO.
It’s like they’re there to celebrate the wedding, yet also get publicity out of showing up. And I think that’s why we’re seeing all these inappropriate attires; it’s all a competition to show up and show off.
Expect no sensible dressing from bw. Most are just out for clicks, networking.. doesn’t matter the occasion, could be a wedding, a formal outing, a vacation, any damn thing, but they’d dress in what designer friends give and what supposedly helps bloat their image. No point questioning or thinking further. I actually didn’t read she’s at the wedding reception, either ways it’s no difference, they’ll be in a glossy lehenga or a tiny dress.
I think there’s mismatch. The dress is fun – a youthful vibe. it looks great on her. The makeup, hair gives off an older, mature woman vibe.
Remind me again…this is a WEDDING reception right…why is everyone dressed up as guests on a movie set for the song Gali Gali mein firta hu… N ironically vidya, Priyanka alva n a few others dint a get a memo n turned out better looking.
I find this latest trend of barely there outfits for weddings in Bollywood very puzzling .. maybe the rest of us missed the memo on this one ? I just can’t look past this puzzling trend to comment on the choice of outfit and fashion .
Looks all sorts of bad and for some reason the dress gives a very minnie mouse-ish vibes (except Minnie would be dressed much more stylishly).
Also why are her shoes about 3 sizes large? Like mom’s closet raid?…
That’s the right word, couldn’t get it…Mini mouse… The color is gorgeous but she isn’t put together well.. the fit is the dress, the over big shoes… And why on earth the kipku hair for a young girl…

I thinks she looks great here. The dress sits well on her from the front and the back.
The styling looks nice and it is a great color and pattern.
As far as getting publicity out of appearance goes, they are celebs and they would not stay relevant if they are not in the news. PR is their livelihood, especially when attending fellow celeb weddings.
We should stop comparisons with how we commoners go for weddings and celebrate them. Bollywood, Hollywood etc has a different set of rules. Its all about the industry.
