In Manish Malhotra
The Kapoor cousins wore Manish Malhotra saris to wear to their family Diwali party. Between the two, preferred Shanaya here. You?

These sarees are so tacky. That is the only word I can think of. Shanaya and Janhvi both are beautiful girls and for all the access to designers they have, can do better. This is really disappointing.
Why do such pretty girls need a bucketload of makeup??! If I do have to pick, Jahnvi is my choice because for the life of me I don’t understand the need for a tiny bra blouse with a sari.
Phir career kaise bangea BW mein, bina makeup ke?
Jhanvi definitely fares better here… Dislike the hairdo n tonnes of makeup which end up making Shanaya look cruel.
It’s obvious that they just pick whichever designer gives them free clothes to wear (MM seems to be a serial offender). I can understand because top stylists probably cost $$$. But I wish sometimes they could just style themselves, especially for family events. I don’t know… just going to a handloom or local store and picking something elegant and simple doesn’t seem too much of a stretch.
Yuck and yuckier.
Unexceptional sarees, badly worn. Yawn.
Oh no…the choice of saree, the severe hair and makeup ages them so much. Very aunty-ish,
Didnt like either choice
Why they suck the elegance out of sarees every time
I do like Shanaya’s saree and the styling.
I can get better sarees at MG road that are not MM but richer, classier n everything else
It is quite disappointing really — all these young, beautiful girls with all the resources at their disposal just choose to restrict themselves to MM for the most part!
They could be having so much fun with fashion but no individuality whatsoever.
You can tell the current iteration of MM sarees is satin-y fabric in bright colors with some sequin border.
Soon, we will have the entire industry wearing a variation of the same.
Last diwali it was the full-sequin saree… and on and on it goes.
