In Sabyasachi

Shah Rukh made his debut at the Met Gala on Monday wearign a custom shirt, coat and pants set from Sabyasachi that was finished out with several layered necklaces and a jeweled cane.

So much talk of this collab and all we got was an all-black suit. So safe and so boring. And don’t get me started on that K necklace. K K Korny is what it was.

  1. This is awful. He looks like a rapper about to shoot a music video. Plus that hair and beard, oh goodness.
Wish he would’ve worn something similar to what Tyler Perry or Barry Keoghan did! He would’ve looked amazing.

  2. Expected so much more, he’s dressed better for badshah, Filmfare and national awards at home. This was just Shahrukh giving the outfit it’s spot, not the other way, I so wish he did something like Lewis Hamilton, bad bunny et al or even godfather like. He had the badass to do it..

  3. Sabya is past his prime..
Srk looks tired n the hair makes him look jaded further.
Sabya just goes monochrome n loads up chains n neck pieces now (DP wore white version of this look on the ramp).

  4. jhumelo jo pathan with a hair cut but not root touch up. Mr Khan could have worn a suit and killed it – rather than this costume from Pathan sets

  5. May be he is doing a magic show there 🙂

Lost opportunity. EVen hair color isnt good not just the clothes, accessories.

  6. SRK is aging like fine wine, looking very dapper…give him that. But a very safe and boring choice for Met, perhaps the same outfit in white would’ve been more impactful!

  7. I thought it was a regal yet simple look. I think it goes with his image…anything over the top would have had him moving awkwardly. I do wish they had broken the black with a white shirt and for god’s sake lost the jewels with just one statement brooch or pendant necklace. That K is tacky. Love the cane… A sherwani with a dhoti would have killed it.

  8. Shahrukh should have been given something spectacular for his first MET outing. An indianized take on Black dandyism would have been much more interesting than this westernized Magician look accented with Indian jewelry and gemstones. The theme was to WOW us with an individualized take on a cultural movement with impeccable dressing, sadly this came out caricaturish.

  9. Totally missed opportunity- the coat could have been really an anchor piece rather than plain!! Wear a classy hat- Fedora, Top Hat something/ anything. His look seems unfinished!! And the K Necklace -YIKES!!! Imagine if he played with his hair color- deep blue/ deep red instead we got this faded mehendi look!! Very sad!!
