At the GQ awards held last evening in Mumbai, Sayani was photographed in an Amit GT gown. As much as we appreciate folks taking risks on the red carpet, this look was ridden with way too many issues to get a pass from us.
The black lace peplum felt too jarring and the choice of lining under the black lace neither photographed very well, nor did it look very luxe. And the bare-faced/nude-y make-up only washed Ms. Gupta out. Not one of her better sightings!

I think this lace with this lining has been done to death. Just to make it different, the designer thought, hmm, let me add peplum to it. Not just you, it will be hard to get a pass from many out there.
I don’t even know what modern dressmaking is. Or even if any skills are required.
The memo seems to be a) risque and barely held together or b) pin all fabrics you find together (exhibit right here) or c) a mix of both.
Worst makeup. Why does she always sports these heavy bronzed make up.
I’ve truly never understood why her MUA highlights the area between the brows and down a bit.
You seen those electric arcs or discharges that form during welding? The shiny bit between her eyebrows looks like that and now I cannot unsee it.
Why does she look so confused…is she wondering why she chose to wear this dress?
