Sari Style

Nayanthara attended the 100th day celebrations of Raja Rani wearing a printed half-sari by Poornima Indrajith featuring images of models from what seemed like a fashion glossy. (Although at first, we were convinced that was Ms. Taylor Swift on the sari.)

While Nayanthara looked nice, can’t say we feel the same about the sari. It was baaaad. Plus, why put a print on the pallu upside down? Also, anyone else getting a Satya Paul déjà vu?

  1. But this half saree has skirt with pleats in the bottom?

I find the whole printed photo tacky but the color combination and the idea of pleats on a skirt is nice.

  2. I think she is wearing her davani the wrong way around? Don’t know how else you would explain wearing the print upside down. Not a good outfit to begin with anyway.

  3. She is one pretty girl. I like that the paavadai thaavani is different from the traditional and normally seen route.
P&P can you post her appearance on the show Koffee with DD. She looked drop dead gorgeous.

  4. Nayanthara looks good. And the outfit for once does not look as tacky as the satya paul one’s(which looks straight out of a Govinda movie). In fact, I like the way its all coming together with the right amount of spunk.

  5. She looks good and the pavda thavani is nice. The faces upside down are def weird but I can take this over Satya pauls like some one mentioned above.

  6. Pranaah (Poornima Indrajith’s label) is a hyped one. She has been making patterns that are heavily inspired from SP/Masaba. I dont find anything new in her clothes. Repetitive and Tacky

    • Yep esp her opening fashion collection was like looking at MM Satya Sabya n Masaba What a major let down!!! Being inspired is so different from being creative. I think I will be always seeing a copy unless she starts a fresh leaf with her own signature style For now a disappointing fashion disaster line with a pleated half sari!!!

  7. Been to Poornima Indrajith’s store. You can find bad copies of most of MMs anarkali’s, Sabya and Satya sarees, Masaba’s lipstick-camera-cycle-what not prints in there. Mostly her designs are Masaba copies. You cant even call that inspiration folks! The visit was a major let down 🙁

  8. I quite like Poornima Indrajith’s label PRANAAH …it does give a dejavu but is sure classier than the original ones! Nayantara surely looks very young and chic in this saree!(unlike her usual behanji ones)
