In Gauri and Nainika

Comment image 12

Sarah Jane hosted the BMW I8 launch party wearing a blue Gauri and Nainika dress with a side-swept hairdo and black pumps. As striking as the color of the dress was, its length threw the whole look off.

The hemline on this number needed to stop at the knees, as evident on the model on whom the dress just bunched up as well.

On an aside, it is it just me or does the paint splatter look odd to you as well, especially the way it falls between the twins? (Yep, I said twins. Get used to it. :P)

  1. You guys have a great fashion sense and eyes for minute details. I have seen various followers of the blog mention how you two tend to nitpick. I say, why the hell not. These celebrities have an entire team working for them whose only job is to ensure that they look nice in their public appearances and still they manage to step out with their bra lines showing. So everytime they make a mistake..they give you guys a right to point it out. It is fair to ask if they even looked at themselves in the mirror before stepping out.
Surprisingly I don’t see any of the followers pointing out all the glaring typos you guys make so often. Strange isn’t it? So let me ask you. Do you guys even proof read before posting?

    And twins, really?

    • Let’s say we’ve tired of pointing out the typos and grammatical errors, so now we simply roll our eyes and stare at the ‘Twins’ being presented…

  2. I’ve been following this blog for a long time. And I must say, this is NOT an English class! It’s not like typos and euphemisms aren’t seen in the blogsphere/social media! Get used to it and stop attacking the girls. I’m not Indian, and I love Hindi films and thats why I love this blog: it’s an insight into the industry that I’m not used to. It’s beautiful, and there isn’t a day I don’t check this blog. Going after P & P for their typos is so low! Get a life, girls (and guys if you’re here :-))! And leave these women alone. It’s a fashion blog, not a critical analysis. And stop with the Sonam hating, Sonam Haters!

    • “stop attacking the girls” – see, now, by “the girls” did you mean breasts or the bloggers, since “the girls” seems to be another term used on here to refer to breasts! I find your last sentence, quite ‘telling’; no one is “going after” anyone here imo – I too have been a regular here since way back when and asking for higher standards of writing and better quality critique in general is called ‘engaging’ with the writers and providing feedback – something the comments section is typically meant for. Speaking for myself, any critique I’ve made in my comments is with the hope of seeing an improvement in a place I like to visit quite often. Some writers may gracefully accept the critique and even benefit from it, some may ignore it and some may be enraged by it.

    • Thanks for being in our corner Amelia. Though quite frankly, we don’t really feel attacked. It’s good to get feedback, even when it is criticism. As for others commenting on lack of quality copy, we’ll work on it.

  3. Not a fan of the dress nor am I a fan of the way it sits on Sarah. I agree with all the ‘twins’ comments above, it’s a tad bit creepy to refer to breasts in that way.
