In David Koma

Wearing a David Koma gown, Sara attended an award ceremony on Thursday evening in Mumbai. A gown that like this with its defined cup and sheer waist can be tricky because if it doesn’t fit just right, it looks bad. And it did. See those pics inside.

  1. Nothing about this screams gown to me.
Everything about this screams bathing suit with a sarong.

When will these people stop over sexualising society!

    • Seriously? So now you can’t wear what you want because some people might get offended? It’s an award show after all.

Everyone has an opinion on what a woman should do with her body, sigh.

        • It’s about the “stop over sexualising society” comment, if that wasn’t obvious.
I don’t have to like the gown to point out the issue with this comment.

      • She’s wearing what she is wearing out of love for the ill fitting “outift” and not because of peer pressure?
Feel free to convince me and all the others on here of that!

    • society is sexualising them not vice versa. Can’t believe this comment has 100 likes and P&P has allowed this. Ugly dress but let’s not blame them. What next? chinese food?

  2. I feel bad for these kids. What kind of pressure drives them to resort to fashion like this.
Even on paper this design lacks any sort of balance.
An ill fitting bra is a no no even when under a t shirt. This is just sad.
Epic fail on her team for putting her through this horror.

  3. What an example of how important angles are in the Instagram age. I saw an IG post version of this and thought this fit so well.

  4. This is terrible and I expected better from Sara. I’d pegged her as a no-nonsense Bollywood gal comfortable in her own style but I was wrong. No one should listen to a stylist who dresses them in this almost sleazy number.

  5. …. But why?
As a coach and psychiatrist j allow my self to say that there must be some self esteem issues and personal insecurity that leads to this kind of dressing. Or lack of dressing.
Don’t get me wrong. People may show thier entire body. But do it with dignity and class and do it for YOU.

    • I agree. I too have a bit of insight into human psychology. I am a management trainer and presently residing in N.E India. Women from outside states try to blindly copy N.E girls’ style. I keenly observe and understand their insecurities.

  6. This would look okay by the swimming pool in Bali or Maldives, on vacation. It just looks like she landed straight from a pool party in Alibaug and didn’t have time to change. I think the ‘gown’ could look better if the sheer section didn’t exist and was covered. And to think she wore this to something called ‘Style Icons Awards’ lol.

  7. No, Sara, Noo! This is not you at all. Why take an outfit that doesn’t fit well nor fit your personality and flaunt it at a public event.

Why not go with something you are comfortable with? Isn’t that fashion is all about?

Looking like the actual person that you are?
