About just over a week after she wore an Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla sari-gown with the pallu around her hand at Cannes, Sara sported yet another similar look in a red ruffled sari at the IIFA Awards. The addition of that emerald necklace made for a nice contrast and that’s about all that I liked about this sari.

not draping the pallu at all?
Is the next step in Indian “fashion” no blouse?

Ahh, but you see, “no blouse” is a very traditional Indian thing, anyway. Dates back to Shakunthala times, so all of this can be viewed as a way to get back to true Indian roots, haha.
Ah yes!! BW celebs conveniently using the crutch of “Its traditional to to be top nude!!” because its like promoting India’s “rich” culture!

I mean technically indian fashion did include saree without blouses until the 17th century. So for everyone who wants us to go back to our roots and complains current generation has no culture, etc etc…. this should be a sign of return of Indian historical greatness!
But those times saree was draped in a decent fashion

Her makeup is great here. Not crazy about the look but it’s one of her better ones…
The necklace is all that I like in this look.
Pray why does she choose outfits and styling that make her look atleast a decade older?
Same story in Cannes. And her poses and expressions add to the woes.
Sara has beautiful skin and she generally us damn too beautiful for the clothes she’s in, the red is radiant on her but oh the falling drape and the crop top.
