An Almost Ditto!

The heavy lattice pattern of this dress is so overbearing and also makes both the ladies look bigger than they are. We don’t like either version, what about you?

  1. SOmehow Sania Mirza’s supposed sex appeal and beauty are lost on me..All I see is a tennis player trying too hard to be hip with all the proverbial “hip” accesories in place..She’d be so much more impressive if she spent this time practicing on the nets such as all time great athletes such as Tiger Woods and Sampras have been known to do in their heyday…Instead, Miss Mirza chooses to become a fixture on the party circuit….

  2. Sania looks pretty — if you tweak your eyes, sideways, she kind of looks like Shruti Seth.

BUT… that’s an awkward pose. She looks very self-conscious.

The dress is cute….I wouldn’t mind wearing it.

  3. One is a sports-person and other is in show business. So I assume Sophie as more experience and upper hand in terms of experience and resource about fashion. Given that there get-up is almost identical, I hand this to Sania, unless of course have the same stylist.

  4. @ Anastasia – i think its being unfair.. she is where she is because of her hardwork.. from a below top 100 to a top 50/30.. thats hard work and not party circuits talking

love the lighting effect on sophie.. looks like a classy photo shoot

  6. SUrbhi, I am just trying to mention an inevitable crack through which most athletes fall through particularly in India where the hype and hoopla around certain sports and athletes is unbelievable…Sania might have been doing well but lets not put the bar so low that she stops stretching herself and gets complacent. Its such a cavalier attitude that saw the decline of the once unbeatable Williams sisters though one of them has staged a recent recovery. Competitive sport is , well fiercely competitive, and the years a player has to excel are few…And trust me when I say, athletes such as Woods and Federer won’t be caught dead hobnobbing with “it” crowd….To reach the top slot in the game, that is the level of work ethic that is needed…Trust me, once she retires witha rank of 29, only people in India will remember her, whereas retiring as the number one player (such as Justine Henin) will go down in the history of the sport….Sorry for the long rambling reply- just wanted to make it clear that I am not undermining Mirza’s achievements. In fact I am suggesting that what she’s achieved is a mere fraction of what she CAN achieve, and she should focus on that rather than her newfound celebrity.

  7. Sania for me … considering that she is not a glamour doll, she has done a good job and she has a nice face & kinda looks much better than I have seen her in the past … I expect better from Sophie as glamour is her profession.
