In Raw Mango
At the Daggubati-Bajaj wedding, Samantha was photographed in a Raw Mango sari. Wearing her hair back, she rounded out the look with neutral sandals, a small bindi and Sheetal Zaveri for Vithaldas jewelry. Love the sari on her; Samantha looked lovely.

When I initially saw this picture, I thought that was full body zari. This is almost shocking in how simple it is. But kudos for keeping it ultra simple and earthy, yet still chic. Love.
And not trying to overshadow the bride !!!
She looks sweet but looks wise its strictly A-okay. Saree is too simple, so is the blouse, the heavy choker doesnt go with the saree at all. And the no bangles/ finger rings seems like an opposite to the extreme OTT approach. Somewhere I wish a sense of balance would prevail. Not a fan of the over forced minimalism esp for a wedding event, however would take this any day vs the wear-every-bling- intheworld approach.
I like the saree for sure, but I feel the drape is way too casual for a wedding especially when you are close family. Initially, I thought the chocker matched perfectly, but these photos bring out the gold in it and now it feels a little out of place. I know we shouldn’t be nitpicking but the fact that she was styled by her stylist, she could have done way better!
This forced minimalism is not impressive anymore. The saree is too simple for a close family wedding and the jewelry doesn’t go with the saree.
Forced minimalism?!
Not everyone wants to look like girls in wedding sarees advertisements. She looks spruced up and dressed well its all you need to atend a wedding.
PS: Liked a RM saree after a long time.
Won’t criticise this look because one element less always works better than one element more. But I think the point being made by Paddy is that celebs on these pages very often over-dress when it’s least expected (such as store openings and book launches), so this was certainly a surprise.
Saree is good, simple but jewelry doesn’t go with it and what’s with the forced pose? Is it to make the neck look longer?
As a discussion point, when I saw this saree on Samantha it made sense to me. It reminds me of sarees her family member Amala wears. This looks to be an organic non silk weave and amala went anti silk awhile ago. I wonder if this is one of her picks.
The posturing is ridiculous as if her neck might just topple behind.
The saree pallu looks terribly short in width.
Everything about this look is terrible, forced minimalism or not
‘Neck hurts!’ Is the first thought I had
A major ‘nothing goes with anything’ look if ever there was one. There was clearly a lot of thought put into it and all the elements are great individually, but together they do not seem to work.
I liked her look, but could not recognise her……. again.
OMG! Yes, yes, yes.. thank u Not one person thought to say that until comment #13 🙂 out of 15
Sorry all I could see was her flawless shiny skin… what skin sorcery is this?! <3 it!
Pictures look airbrushed by photoshop or similar. Totally unnecessary, as she has nice skin anyway.
This is gorgeous ! Not a fan of the pose but saree looks lovely and is event appropriate.
The thing is celebs play “dress up” everyday, assisted by stylist, hair make up etc. So great if “minimalist” for weddings is a celeb trend but weddings are probably one occasion ordinary mortals like me can bring out their silk sarees and traditional jewellery – so each one to their own (BTW her minimalist jewellery is far grander than anything I own!)
