Here is a look at Sabyasachi’s collection for Spring 2009. I still see shades of the last collection(LFW Fall 2008) in this one. What about you?

  2. Colour palette and print combos are typically Sabya..yet the overall effect is stunning! He is a real ‘designer/creator’, not a stylist like Rocky S or a trousseau packager like Manish Malhotra.

  3. Nice, nice. Very wearable. Agree with Payal, some of the designs are a take off from his previous collection. I am glad he is consistently paticipating in the NYC fashion week.

though I can’t see much of them I’m intrigued to know what shoes most of them are wearing in the last row…

  5. You have to just look at the garments and you know its Sabya is it not?! I love the collection, and they are a continuation of his previous collection…nice wearable collection

  6. I find sabya’s choice of fabrics, the soft prints, the textures, the combinations so original and appealing. For me, it is his putting together of this exquisiteness that has a problem. He needs to evolve in this regard.Something does not work despite his original palette.

  7. I love the fact that this man’s concept of attractiveness isn’t all about sequins and Swarovski srystals and cleavage. It’s nice to see the laidback Cal (that’s Calcutta, not California) vibe that informs every single one of his collections- even if some people consider them fugly, the Sabyasachi woman is someone who will wear what she wants, and fingers up to what the world thinks of it.
