At designer Pratima Bhatia’s collection showcase at Chamomile, Sabina Singh was spotted wearing the same Pratima Gaurav sari that we saw on Priya first back in Aug.
Who wore it better? We are gonna give this round to Priya. Much preferred the pallu down than up.

Thought this was sabina singh not chopra? and she looksso much more glamorous than Priya. though the sari is simple and very striking – both look great
priya tanna looks like a good bahu in any run of the mill shaadi. HOW she got the job if heading VOGUE india, i will never know.
as for pratima gaurav – is it some sort of crisis in bombay where “celebs” dont remember how to wear a fricckin sari anymore? shame.
I completely agree! How a person can wear such an elegant garment with such tacky outcome is beyond me. And both of these ladies (in my younger foolish days I would have called them “aunties”) have nothing I would want to emulate (except the fat paychecks ofcourse!)
i agree… the slimmer aunty looks as if she just got up from her sleep n decided to attend a do.
I like the pallu up in general for such bordered sarees. They frame the body very well and look young. But this particular one, i would have liked pallu up on slimmer lady.
As it is right now, dont like the sight of sabina’s tummy. So i prefer pratima too.

If this sari came with a tag saying Manish Malhotra or even Sabyasachi… no one would blink an eye. Standard traditional (pretty nonetheless) saris… different people just sticking their labels on.

Agree that they’re two sarees…Priya’s saree looks like it has a double border, doesn’t it?
But I like Sabina’s look much more. She makes the red pop. Priya looks like she walked off the set of a cliched saas-bahu serial.

its a glamorous saree and beautiful border. love it. only someone who wants work all over and conventional sarees will think otherwise. This is simple and striking

Both ladies look great! I think Priya looks gorgeous in the RED! Lovely sari – simple yet dramatic. V few designers can get do non-bling today. Good stuff.
