Of Gowns
Saba wore a 2004 Gucci (from the Tom Ford era) gown to an awards event on Sunday night. I do love the color but I don’t know if it is the hair, the random flower sandals or the way that belt at the cutout doesn’t quite sit right that is making me not quite sold on the appearance.
Just me feeling that way?

It’s the hair…!! maybe they got inspired by the model-but then go all the way and match the makeup too. Also that belt placement is not helping.
The hair may be too severe. She wears the dress itself perfectly. And the shoes are all wrong, of course.
There is something fey and eccentric about Saba and I don’t know if she should be wearing bog standard gowns.
The only right analysis. Given her background as an indie musician I saw in her a whimsical, gamine Tinker Bell persona. These industrial “heroine” looks just look disingenuous on her.
Gorgeous color especially on her skin.. but why’d she want to look so severe with the hair n pale make up.
I’m starting to feel like women date older men and trade their youth n joy.
all of the above. somehow Saba tries hard every time but most looks fall flat. For once she should try wearing something of her own choice and mainly her comfort
The look is too severe…the cutout belt is odd, you are right.
The aesthetic of the top half of the dress is so athletic. That is not her vibe. She should go for something more boho.
Something about her just seems a little off- No matter what!
