Monisha Jaising’s latest collection ‘World Bride’ caught our eye with its traditional silhouettes but presented with a contemporary twist. With its use of lace, 3-D embroidery and cut-outs, how could it not?

The slinky sari-gowns, voluminous lehengas, tailored sherwanis and glamorous gowns in varied and wide spectrum of colors makes this collection a perfect fit for the modern bride. For every occasion before, during and after the wedding and for every kind of bride, there’s something for everyone.

A temple in Rajasthan, a Viennese church, a mosque in Beirut or a yacht off of St. Tropez. If you are the kind of bride that can picture herself in any of these places then you need to look no farther than this collection. Just the brand of luxury a global bride needs!

  1. I have a question. Why do Indian brands use White models to advertise their product in INDIA? It makes no sense. The majority seem to do this.

  2. P&P, are advertisement posts gonna become more common on the blog now? Because I cringed a little as I was reading it. Somehow, it has a different character from a giveaway post or the small adverts at the side, which you can choose to look at when you feel like.

  3. I agree with the comment above. I have been asked the same question by white friends who visit India. It is very embarrassing- India has not gotten over its colonial hangover. We have such beautiful skin, I wish we embraced it.

    • Please don’t kid yourself. Very VERY few Indians look proper Caucasian. They also don’t have blonde hair. There are a lot of light skinned Indians, yes. But they don’t Eastern European. Majority of Indians are some shade of brown and I would like to see that being represented. This “there are a lot of light skinned Indians who look caucasian” argument is BS.
