Wearing an ivory Sabyasachi sari, Rani attended the desiger’s show at Couture Week. Some understated jewelry, a Bottega Veneta clutch, dramatic smokey eyes and flowers in her hair finished out the look. She looked nice!

On an aside, am I the only one who thinks that Sabya is losing his magic? Look at that sari. It reminds me of stuffs I get to buy in the local shops!

It is extremely short and the neckline is terribly deep. Thank god for no half boob show because it would have looked tacky. She manages to look elegant thanks to the drape.
Somethings bothering me- is it the contrived way she’s holding her pallu? I want to know what the make or break quotient- the blouse looks like. Eye make up is odd…
What a spectacular show. Im surprised its not on ure website yet. And Rani has not looked this good in a long time! I absolutely loooove what she wore! Such a beautiful retro sari. Reminds me of the saris that mumtaz wore. Is that khadi?
If she could get the smokey eyes right…red flower replaced by white and why is she holding her pallu as if she is trying to cover herself (in all pics)…but still improvement from last denim n blazer look…Definitely..
I think the way she’s carrying it ages her but the neckline seems very deep and she probably didn’t want to expose that much.
She does look beautiful – I quite like the demure vibe of it all even if that blouse is a little risque (she was careful to drape the pallu to cover it)

Rani looks ethereal,love her saree,her makeup and her blouse as well. I don’t find anything odd in the way she has held her pallu, infact it reminds me of yesteryear heroines like Sharmila, Waheeda, Mumtaz and royalties like Maharani Gayatri Devi. There’s so much of grace and elegance in that. The boob or cleavage show all the time is so boring. This is sexy, wants me to know how the blouse really is. Well done Rani and her stylist!!!!!

Rani looks lovely. The saree is simple and not reminiscent of Sabya. For someone so petite the drape looks pretty good too.
Odd draping. And the blouse looks anything but elegant. Heavy eyes. Rani seems to have gained weight all of a sudden and the draping is not helping hide that fact.
I think she looks lovely, and like someone else said, pearls would look great with this. But man she’s holding onto that pallu for dear life! What’s the point of wearing a risqué blouse if ones going to be so uncomfortable doing it?!
I am not sure if it’s the blouse or a possible baby bump that Rani is trying to hide…will have to wait and see!

Love this look. And like the additions of the black nail polish, black blouse and black clutch that edge-ify this otherwise demure and sedate sari. She nailed it.
the sari is beautiful, the draping is off, and no its not the modesty that is the problem…
she looks quite elegant! though a bit awkward, i do love the pallu – reminds me of old times when women used to cover up their other shoulder with the pallu 🙂
