In Sabyasachi
Rani attended the IIFA Awards on Saturday evening wearing a Sabyasachi sari with a pearl choker and ring. With that neckline, the single strand pearl necklace wasn’t the best move but the worse offense here was the Chanel pin in the hair. Ms. Mukerji’s love for logo is more often that not what leads to single-handedly ruining a look.

Aaaaaw, that hair pin!
But ill give it a pass, she looks lovely.
Such sarees are so tricky to drape, she wears it so well.
I think you’re being a bit harsh on her… She’s looking lovely. Yes the clip is a little funny but doesn’t ruin the look.
I’m sorry but this whole look is aging her by atleast a whole decade or more. Sabya, in pursuit of his oft favorite goal ….to serve a classic look, regularly makes his muses go for vibes like Waheeda or Devika Rani, however, it also sets them up to look a whole generation older. Ranis whole look doesn’t look successfully classic either and she just ended up looking stuffy. And yes, that channel pin is such an eyesore nouveau riche move, Like seriously?..
But Sabya designs are ageing.. they look fun on lanky models only.
She looks lovely in pic 3 but totally on point assessment re: the blouse, the pearls and the hair pin. The model wore lengths of pearls for a reason with that neckline — and Rani does not have a long, swan-like neck to begin with. No shade on that, but just dress for the body you have, no? Even non-celebs do this.
The footwear ???
She looks nice. Also the hairpin goes with her accessories and not much of a distraction.
She did good minus that hair pin but love the layered pearls on the model
What exactly did Sabysachi design in it?
Very school marm! Not enjoying those platforms either.
More than the hair pin, it’s the hair do that’s a downer here .. so so dated. Rani would have looked great with a normal bun or loose hair
That hairdo is really not working. It’s too fussy.
Very matronly
The hairstyle aged her by 20 yrs such a disservice for an otherwise lovely lady who does well in sarees!!!
A rare miss for the beautiful Rani in a Saree. Those polka dots are too big for a small frame such as Rani’s. That neckline feels too claustrophobic on her. The fit of the blouse at the bust, length of sleeves, the sheen of the saree itself, does not work. The tiny choker type necklace does no favors either. A longer layered necklace like the model’s would have given this look the linear dimension it desperately needs. As is, this styling makes her look rounder, shorter and stumpier than she actually is.
