Rani, due to her height and figure, has always been one of the loveliest muses for the saree wearer. (Just check her out in that surreal, colour-blocked song in Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, or in Laaga Chunri Men Daag.) However, she seldom seems to pull it off off-screen. For this one, her blouse sleeve needs to be a tad bit shorter, possibly without the banarsi trim. The neckline I can give a pass, but her choice of jewellery and finishing touches (like make-up and especially that hairstyle) lets her down. Pity, because had she worn it with delicate silvery jewellery or clear, twinkling gems, and styled her hair a bit better, this would have been such a winner. :/ But bonus points for not succumbing to the flour vat-face trend! ^_^
Bang on
Her inner sethani takes over every time.
Rani gave up on styling after marriage.
Agreed with the comment above, the blouse would have looked so much better without the zari.. She looks lovely, nonetheless.
I like the sari but not her finishing touches. Rani is another one of those with truckloads of money but lacking in style. I am glad though that she resisted the urge to drown herself in jewelery and make up.
Thank you Rani for the traditional sari look!. Just cant see people in skimpy clothing/wierd modifications of sari anymore!
how tacky and mismatched is that pearl necklace with this saree.
