For their reception, the Groom wore a navy suit and the bride, a purple (Tarun Tahiliani?) lehenga.

Our best to the couple.

  2. Why is it constantly referred to as a lehenga when she has clearly worn like a pavada dhavni(half sari)? She should have picked a less heavier pavada dhavni, this makes her even more bigger. But the Colors are quite interesting.

    • lol…interesting thought of the naming part…hmmm.. i kinda agree with you. Although even as a pavadai thavani she has worn is funnily. The beginning of the dhavani is not how it traditionally is.

    • Even it is worn as that half sari, it is still a lehenga. And a lehenga is what north Indians call it, so can’t we just accept each the cultural difference?

      • Oh why don’t we then just call everything a salwar suit rather than churidhars, patialas, salwar kameez and such like. Its the same logic. There’s a tradition behind even the way it worn and every region has its naming and that’s what makes our country rich in heritage. If we so care then we will just have one generic name called Indian ethnic wear.

        • Lets just ask the designers what they call it..chances are they will call it a ‘Lehenga’.
A salwar suit, lehenga, even a saree has different names all over India.. other non-north Indians have not objected to it being called that.. so just chill.

          • Lehenga is not a generic name. The bride is south indian and she has worn it as a half sari. It is safe to call it half sari and NOT a lehenga. Just because it is a Tarun Tahiliani it can’t get a different name.

    • I actually like the low-key look. I am tired of over-ornate sherwanis and kurtas. I wish the bride had followed suit-I don’t like the excessive jewellery and the loudish outfit though she is very attractive.

  5. upasana looks too casual for a bride…. a bindi would have done wonders……. donot like the orange/red + purple combo for some reason….. wish the couple a great life ahead

  6. Congratulations to them. Somehow not liking the idea of a navy suit for a reception…it doesnt seem suited for this occassion and not especially well co-ordinated.

  7. Two Eyesores for me-
The hair makes her look even bigger and the lehenga should have been tied lower. Cant seem to look beyond these two.

  9. The colour combination is striking.. suits her I think. What I am on the fence about : the length of the lehenga (could be a tad bit longer) and the strings of pearls..

  10. I think the lehenga has too many colours in it. Makes it a little loud. And it should have been longer.
Groom could have shaved and got his trousers altered to fit. They’re creasing more than they should.
