Rakul attended a Diwali party on Sunday evening wearing a cobalt blue sari and mirrored blouse set from Vvani Vats. The color was striking but this whole new style of drape that we are seeing everyone sport is a bit of a put off.

bit of a put off is a very mild way of putting it across. It’s extremely distasteful is how I see it. they have collectively killed the concept of elegant draping.

There was a time when the pallu was supposed to cover the ‘Bxxbs’ now apparently they are the curtains on the side to reveal the ‘bxxbs’!! I sound like such a grandma for writing this comment 🙂

Why use 5 yards for this. They should just revert to Bollywood apsara costumes of the 70s and 80s. Much better. No need for fabric snaking in a thin line across the chest.
Of the hundreds of Indian drapes this is the most inelegant and unsexy version.
It started as one boob show now it’s both along with abs show. In front of this even the model’s one boob show looks better. Soon it will be bikini blouse n lungi look – why bother with pallu.
