Rakul was seen at a success party in a dress from a local Indian label worn with flats and her gold Bottega Veneta club. She looked nice but given that I found the exact same dress also on Boohoo’s site leads me to believe that these smaller brands that we are seeing mostly source stuff from China and put their own label on it. I would rather see our celebs re-wear clothes differently or thrift like how Ms. Tamhankar did.
P.S. This applies to all celebs not just Rakul.

Why am I not surprised? The clothes look inexpensive, they seem one-use only and the designs are generic at best. Good detecting, Payal!
I guess stylists are constrained by budgets etc but seriously, EVERYONE deserves better.
Its not about wearing an inexpensive brand. The issue is about an indian label lazily slapping their name on a cheap product and calling it their own
Ethics has never been Bollywood’s strong point. At least choose better quality to slap on the fake labels!
But on a serious note, passing off China-made products with a desi label is wrong and corrupt in so many ways. It’s not something I was aware of, so something clicked with this post.
Those shoes do not go with this dress.
