Now that all the pictures of Priyanka’s editorial have surfaced, what’s your verdict on it?
While I think big hair and harsh make-up was way too overwhelming and didn’t do justice to the the outfits, Priyanka loved it. She thinks that the whole editorial has a very retro-power-woman vibe albeit updated! And since an editorial isn’t just about clothes but a ‘story’, the model (make-up, hair et al) adds that extra dimension to it.

I think Priyanka does a lot of stuff just to “keep up” with some of the newer actresses instead of trying to make some sort of impact and do something she feels passionate about.

The hair is very Dolly Parton-esque and only really works well in the 2nd to last picture with the pink dress. But the clothes are gorgeous!
PC has a certain damsel-in-distress vibe to her and that makes this fierce woman look fall a little short. I think Bipasha would have pulled this off much better.
What an awful looking photoshoot. They actually managed to make her look unattractive. Priyanka tries way too hard to be edgy and never looks comfortable.

Short hair (above the shoulders) just suits Priyanka better, whether it’s flat, volumnous or somewhere in between
ALSO, I hate the contacts, dark eyes would have been so much…sexier

Yuck. The shoot is nice but the model is all wrong. Priyanka Chopra’s face has the same Katrina Kaif problem. No matter what you do, they always look the same. Though Katrina is way better looking.
Love the Ferragamo gown and the white pant suit though.

do not care for the outfit on the cover and the white suit. The rest of the outfits are great, but the hair ruins the whole look. BIG head small frame the proportions are wrong.

I love love love it!!! This is what editorial should be. The hair is exagerated but that’s kinda the point. Do the pictures have a kind of eastman colour feel to them? Or is that just me? Even if it is just me, that extra touch makes these pictures that much more genius.
It’s a different look altogether.. I say … she looks very Amy Winehouseque with the big puffed hair and eyeliner.I hope she keeps this look only for photoshoots and not real

I just can’t take this fashion spread seriously. The ginormous hair? The sleazy 70s vibe? It’s over-the-top and crazy, and it’s totally intentional. I love spreads like this one, simply because they’re fun! I think many designers and photographers have the tendency to take themselves too seriously, which results in the models having to wear strange clothes and stand in awkward and uncomfortable poses, all for the sake of “haute couture”.
Like Rezia, I think this was a brilliant editorial, and definitely unique – something that many other editorials tend to lack.
I second Priyanka on this. I think it’s a really good editorial, the big hair, crazy make-up looks really good since the entire vibe is very retro. I love the close-up picture, Priyanka reminds me of Helen in that picture.
You know, I’ve always thought that Indian women have fabulous hair no matter what, but Priyanka alone has dispelled that for me. Even with stylists, professionals- it’s just bad!
OMG! I love Priyanka here. And look at that awesome hair. I’m not a Priyanka Chopra fan so my gushing is quite honest and honestly, I think she wears the clothes much better than the models on the ramp.

Fantastic, fierce, fhenomenal! PC does have a stamp on it. I like the feminine pink on her, where she looks like a powerhouse instead of a pansy. I love the greenl’officiel cover pic. PC is another rare desi who can carry off western apparel beautifully! Sonam is another who can do so as well.

I like the clothes and the make-up/hair, but the shoot is ruined by the fact that PC has the same expression and tilts her head in exactly the same way in every single photo.

Ooh I love the big hair and makeup, though I wish she had shaken it up a bit..with all that hair and makeup and those gowns, she still succeeded in making this one boring spread! Come on Priyanka!
I loved the spread. I think I can see what she means by it being fun to work the big bouffant-ish hair & the loud makeup…..hey when you know you can’t work it in real life, what’s the harm in playin retro doll when an international mag pays you to do it?? I think its a fun spread, quite different from the usual sleek ponytail/straight sheen/wild curls/out-of-bed hair route that most go with all the time. And the oufits are snazzy!! I especially liked the pantsuit – I think P.Chops has carried it off quite well, and only few can. And am lusting the pale green animal skin tote featured in the 2nd pic……awesome!
love the clothes except for the white pants. Also the short hair looks great and sexily stylish. I wish they tried to capture her from other angle instead of only from her right face side……very monotonous creatively.
They have photoshoped her cover picture to make her look very fair.

the big hair in pic 2, 4 and 5 make her look awful, like a LION!! if it was a jungle/african theme it would have worked, not here.
But saying that I do like the ultra glam spread, she just doesn’t look that great except the cover she looks good there, but strangely the same outfit and hair etc doen’t look too good in the standing pic?? why priyanka???
she is lukin to her left in nearly all the pics!!! i dont think any of the pics luks good even 1 bit!!! her wigs are all really bad!!! she is trying too hard but its not working at all!! and the way they have phototshopped these pics!!! mmost of them dont even luk like her!!! and when she is posing standing why is she tilting in such a weird way??? bad pose!!!

I sought of like this shoot but only because probably its a one-off thing and I haven’t seen her look like this before……. but then I am looking at some pics now and YES! I haven’t really seen her look like this before! In some pics she doesn’t even look like her normal self… i am talking about the photo on the cover and the 5th one in particular. This entire thing could have been done better..maybe a bit classier and not so much in ur face slapstick retro!

I like the clothes. The hair is just not cutting it for me. Too big, too wannabe-ish, too plasticy… I understand that she was prolly going for that plastic larger than life look… but it just doesnt work for me… Her look in every frame just looks so ‘calculated’ it loses all charm..
I used to love Priyanka, but for past 6 months I think she has entered a disaster stage she looked horrible during filmfare awards and has been posing with weird hair styles and clothes in these shoots, she needs a good lesson from a senior Miss World Aishwarya Rai, Aishwarya rose to popularity not just because of her looks but because of her personality and careful selection of clothes, I dont know any other woman from the Indian film fraternity who has been on Letterman, Oprah, Martha Stuart, Cannes and so on and so forth Aishwarya’s fame is enormous and I doubt if anyone else would ever reach that, and if Priyanka continues to dress horribly with such make up and hair then she is not going to get anywhere.. learn some style and grace from Aishwarya.

I LOVEE the whole retro vibe of this photoshoot! It totally screams ‘bored, rich, trophy wife from the ’70s’!! LOVE how they styled her too, she looks like a real model her, having fun, looking confident and beautiful. Unlike her other photo shoots, where she’s just standing there posing awkwardly, this one actually tells a story…and i love how she looks and poses in every dress
@ siddharth – Thsi is a photoshoot for a magazine, she’s meant to look over the top LOL And if there’s someone who Priyanka shouldn’t learn styling tips from its Aish. Aish has to be the most boring dresser ever…and the more i think about it, Priyanka is pretty boring too when it comes to her style…she only dazzles in photo shoots like this
The clothes are lovely, the colours are beautiful, the makeup and hair are edgy but it doesn’t work for Priyanka. While she is a pretty girl, her look in each shot seems too stiff or awkward. There is a natural joie-de-vivre that is missing here.

mmm…well the clothes were pretty loud enough so the very loud make-up and hair-do was so not needed to enhance it went a ittle tooo OTT!
well i do like her in this whole new and dif style..love her hair in first one… that my fav of all..tat dress and hair totally goes together..but the second hairstyle i mean i dont like it on all the dresses…i like it one the white dress ..the blue dress goes okay too but dont like it much maybe the pose or expression bt i agree on those who thinks the hair and makeup ruined it… i think so too some other dif hairstyle or makeup wud hav made justice to the beautiful dresses altho i loved the greeeeen one.
