Another day, another round of movie promotions. At one event, Priyanka was photographed in Burberry separates. Wearing her hair down, she rounded out the look with a red lip and pair of Nicholas Kirkwood pumps. For her appearance at another event, she picked a Sabyasachi sari to wear. All celebrities who source from the designer must be contractually obligated to wear the outfit as prescribed because the actor to no one’s surprise rounded out the look with a sleek, center-parted updo, big earrings (also by the designer) and a small bindi.

Which do you like her more in? Neither of these hit a home run. I would’ve said the sari had she worn her hair in a wispy low knot as she has on this promo tour before and picked a shorter sleeved blouse. The polka-dot sari begged for some lightness, some playfulness.

  1. Those hair extensions do nothing for her, apart from how they make her feel probably.
The burberry top would have looked better with plain cigarette/skinny trousers

  2. The first look is nice…. Agree with the saree… It absolutely needed to be light and fun… Open hair and a sleeveless blouse would have done wonders… What on earth are the matronly hair and long sleeves doing here?

  3. What is “Sabya” about the cheap looking synthetic polka dot saree with a sequined border? Such sarees are available dime-a-dozen small saree shops across India.

    • Yes!!! What’s with everything being Sabya’d? What is so original here?
Why not pick a similar saree from a non designer brand.

Not trying to be rude but I genuinely don’t get it.

P.S : And yes an easy breezy styling would have made a world of a difference!!

  4. Cannot agree more on the post. The polka dotted sari styling is so severe and matronly (for lack of better word). It begged to be styled in a more fun and chilled way. As it is it’s drab, boring and quite garish with that red blouse and red lipstick and the awful earrings!

  5. Why do celebs always like doing ‘Namaste’ when wearing a Saree only.. Can’t ever remember seeing it with shorts or mini skirt. What has a greeting got to do with dressing? Looks a little fake to me..

  6. what annoys me the most is her extensions which looks completely fake from the bottom and there is nothing designer about that saree. it would be better if the blouse was of different style. i think there is no one who can understand priyanka’s body type. all the stylists are just putting her in the clothes randomly they are not thinking what would look flattering on her

  7. The polka dotted sari is a fun retro look but the earrings are too heavy and traditional for it. I don’t mind the centre-parted hairstyle on her, perhaps because we don’t see her do it very often.

  8. Not amazing but I don’t dislike either – she’s got that star quality/charisma thing going on, great makeup, great hair, no sucking-in-of-cheeks. She looks better in the sari and the hair than others have (it’s not fully oiled down at least) though I hate the long-sleeve blouse.
All in all, not amazing but still pretty

  9. The earrings with saree just does not go. Makes the look heavy. This could have been such a fab vintage look. But PC wants to look ‘gharelu’ television bahu 🙂 and she does

  10. For all the other saree looks, she wears sleeveless blouses and for this, she goes the long sleeve way! The horrendous ear rings that don’t even match the vibe of the saree needs a spl mention too!

  11. That Burberry top reminds me of kindergarten days with hanky pinned on the blouse :p
Agree with the rest on the saree look, nothing designer about it and styling is way over board. Priyanka looks pretty in both the looks though.

  12. why does she insist on wearing those dated extensions in India as if Indians are far too conservative to accept her in shorter hair length!!

  13. I like this look of her. Retro. And I thought for a change she has changed her spaghetti strap sleeveless blouses that she usually prefers. May be the stylist had read P&P’s previous comments to her TT saree. Lol.
