In Amit Aggarwal

Priyanka was honored at a gala over the weekend to which she wore a custom white gown from Amit Aggarwal made from a 20 year old chikankari sari. A Bvlgari neckpiece finished out her look. She looked good in it.

  2. what an utterly beautiful saree this must’ve been. as to its repurposing — intelligently done, it’s a beautiful garment — am torn. On one hand, it exposes the craft to many. OTOH, this is the end of life for the exquisite embroidery on the saree, it will never be worn again, unlike the saree, which would’ve lasted generations if well cared for.

  3. This is a fashion blog. Can we hear a bit more than ” she looked good in it” please? some chikanari technique details, some structural design perspective, somethin- anything more elevated than ” she looked good in it!” this has been your standard line lately 🙁

  4. Stunning fusion look. PC carries it with such grace. While I would have loved the saree to remain as is, this transition is one of few that I think was done and still kept the look elegant. well done and well played, PC.
