In Amit Aggarwal
Priyanka was honored at a gala over the weekend to which she wore a custom white gown from Amit Aggarwal made from a 20 year old chikankari sari. A Bvlgari neckpiece finished out her look. She looked good in it.

Love the choice of fabric, color and from a distance this look is a 10/10 BUT up close the fan pattern from the waist to the bust a little pagenty according to me!!! If there is anyone who can rock this it is PC!!!
what an utterly beautiful saree this must’ve been. as to its repurposing — intelligently done, it’s a beautiful garment — am torn. On one hand, it exposes the craft to many. OTOH, this is the end of life for the exquisite embroidery on the saree, it will never be worn again, unlike the saree, which would’ve lasted generations if well cared for.
Gorgeous! Love the way the saree was repuposed to be a dress, very very nicely tailored and it looks amazing on her!!
The gown is actually well made. And Priyanka looks beautifully styled and confident
This is a fashion blog. Can we hear a bit more than ” she looked good in it” please? some chikanari technique details, some structural design perspective, somethin- anything more elevated than ” she looked good in it!” this has been your standard line lately 🙁
Alas, I wouldn’t want to give the wrong chikankari details and their PR detailing this look was all ChatpGpt fluff as well.
love your honesty, Payal.
She is looking really fab in this dress
Stunning fusion look. PC carries it with such grace. While I would have loved the saree to remain as is, this transition is one of few that I think was done and still kept the look elegant. well done and well played, PC.
It is nice way to re purpose a sari and to showcase our crafts people to the world
