Priyanka attended an event for her upcoming Telugu movie wearing a white lehenga from Ananika Khanna in a pavadai thavani drape with a whole lot of pearl and gold jewellery. I give her points for effort, the outfit wasn’t really coming together. The hairdo especially wasn’t working here.

  1. Beg to differ. It’s on point and on theme from every detail. Have you seen the hair accessories? They work so well with the outfit, as do the assortment of eclectic yet well meshed jewellery.
I feel like this critique is just for the sake of being critical. Would it hurt to just praise a well thought out look? She also looks very comfortable in this.

  2. Priyanka looks gorgeous here. I think the make up and hair could’ve been toned down but considering how big the event was, it’s acceptable.

  3. But you see we aren’t the target audience for this look. It’s for the lakhs of ordinary fans who may not relate to high fashion. This look is purely for marketing an idea that she can be a true blue Telugu heroine. To that aim, it worked brilliantly.

  4. A stunning look on Priyanka. Absolutely lovely. In tune with the character of Mandakini played by her in the movie. So nice to see her in an all-Indian avatar after a long time. I have missed her in traditional Indian outfits.

  5. She looked like Jahnvi! In Pavadai thavani the dupatta /thavani is draped over the blouse, not like this.
The makeup needed to be fresh, not so heavy ..

  6. As much as I love Priyanka I don’t like this drape. Pavadai dhavani needs to show less skin. It is supposed to be graceful. Not this. Trying too hard and falling flat.

  7. Same attire worn with differently stitched blouse (mainly the neckline), dupatta with little more width and smaller necklace would have been nice.

Even if the event was for telugu people but the look is for some wedding or for a shoot, and looks out of place for this event. Also her hair style is too loose.

  8. Idk it’s just very tacky and gimmicky…i know it’s related to her character but..it just doesn’t translate. Love the glow and confidence always

  9. Looks like she’s cosplaying a white cross-dresser who in turn is cosplaying an Indian. Something very fake and uncanny about the whole look esp that wig, and ofcourse there’s her superpower to make even the most austere salwar kameez look tacky.
