Doing black and pink saris were both Priya Mani and Sumalatha at the Filmfare South Awards and of the two, it was easy to pick the former as the better dressed one.

  1. Such loud and gaudy colors. Doesn’t suit Priyamanis’ skin tone. The only good thing is that the saree is tied up well. That saree on the other lady is okay on her but pink phone case, like really?

    • I think bright colors such as shocking pink look great on dusky skin tones. Having said that, her outfit is not particularly remarkable (never been a fan of two-colored saris such as this one, they kind of look like half-saris and hence don’t look age appropriate). I still feel Priya Mani is beautiful.

      • It makes it so much more gaudy on her skin tone. Like how there are opinions about pink and other biege clothes washing out lighter skinned women, not all colors suit a dusky skin tone. She could have worn a red or blue but definitely not a mix of orange and pink.I feel tamannah would have rocked this saree. Yeah of course you sure are entitled to your opinion.

      • i agree. Bright even neon colours looks great on dusky/dark skin tone. But got to say not feeling this particular saree on Priyamani despite the near perfect drape.

  2. Saw on other websites, Priyamani’s foundation on her face is so many shades lighter. Don’t know why they try to white wash their faces. No wonder there are hundreds of “fairness” creams , body washes and every possible thing has whiteness factor attached it. Such a shame. Both the sarees are just about okay.

  3. Priya Mani has my vote. It’s a really stylish sari where all the colours work and blend really well together. I think there is too much pink in Sumalatha’s outfit and it does not look as striking.
